Adrian P.O. V I settled in for the night, my back rested on a rough tree trunk. I couldn't help but smile as I watched Samantha. She was fighting to stay awake, her head nodding forward, but she quickly lifted it back up again. Her eyes flew open for a moment; she looked around, confused, before they met mine. I chuckled softly, and she gave me a sheepish grin, her head dropping forward again. This time, it didn't come back up. For the first time in my life, I couldn't help but feel like the universe was finally working in my favor.
