First Avenue, at the East 20th Street block
While the taxi with Ben and Susan aboard reached its destination, there were other vehicles discretely following the same trail.
“Now that we're here, where do we go?” asked Ben.
“Well, that's obvious! We'll go to the two corners with twenty in the eastern direction: 'Where the twenty the twenty meet, On the globe use the east'! In other words, where East 20th Street crosses the 20th Street Loop.”
Smiling as the sun lit their way, they walked alongside the rusty-red houses that defined the harmony of the neighborhood until they reached the crossing.
Susan had the distinct feeling that they were being followed. She looked around suspiciously, but didn't see anyone or anything unusual.
