The heavy door swung inwards to reveal an open living area, comprising a lounge area and a kitchen. The kitchen looked homely with an oval table and four chairs in its center. The lounge was dominated by a broad stone fireplace. A single, plush, two-seater sofa stood in front of it, flanked by two deep wing-back chairs. It was a beautiful space that felt warm and welcoming.
The wall opposite the front door was mostly glass and provided us with a stunning view of the lake. We were so close to the water’s edge it looked like you could jump from the deck at the back straight into the water.
