***Rose POV***
In my mind, I walked through this channel. I had no idea where I was going, but I didn’t need to. When I reached the other side, I saw Viktor standing with the massive black wolf that was Nikolai by his side. A glow emanated from them and connected them. Nikolai stood with his head high and proud, but Viktor looked terrified and furious. I wanted to go to him, to reassure him, but the connection was broken as Nikolai retracted his teeth.
‘That should not have happened.’ Gone was the growl that came when Nikolai spoke, but Black’s words were like ice, stabbing into my heart. Although unsure of what exactly had happened, I knew a link formed between us and Black regretted it.
‘Get off me!’
