Shawna couldn't believe what she was hearing. "How? Why would you?" She wanted to ask so many clarifying questions, but was so hurt by what she had discovered. There were too many emotions going through her mind that her thoughts couldn't keep up. "Shawna my love. Please know that I did this for us. For love. I love you so much that I couldn't b-bb-bbearr-aaahhh!" He screamed grasping his back and doubling over in excruciating pain. Shawna curled up her upper lip in disgust. The sound of his painful screams made her feel sorry for him at firt. But after hearing the evil deed he imposed on her; she was just plum disgusted at his whining and carrying on. If the roles were reversed and she was the one wreathing in pain, he would have told her to shut up and suck it up. However since the big bad Harpo was the one who was getting the crap beat out of him, she was meant to feel sorry for him and coddle him?! "I don't think so you creep!" She said out loud with a growl at the end. That definitely got Harpo's attention and he stopped screaming for just a brief moment to take in what she just said and how she said it. "What? Were you - ahhh- talking to me? Did you just call me a-ahhh! A creep?! I gu-guest I diserve that after all that I put you through." Shawna was done holding in her thoughts when it came to dealing with him. "You know I think you deserve a lot more than a little back pain you vile, heinous excuse of a man! How dare you say those things to me as if you were justified in beating me, and calling it love?! Thyat is not love. That is greed. That is selfishness. That... That Harpo is down right evil!" Harpo looked over at her with fear, pain and what resembled regret in his eyes. "I know. I am sorry. It's because of this stupid spell that I have been so awful towards you. If Perina would have just told me everything about the spell...If she could have..." Shawna threw her arms up in anger. "NO! No more blaming everyone and everything else for your choices for your screw ups. You did this to me! YOU! Not Perina or the spell or your true mate for that matter! This was all YOUR fault, Harpo! You chose to be selfish and get what you wanted by any means necessary. Damn who it effects. You hurt me more than anyone else in the pack combined. Because of you I have been beaten and bruised and made to feel less than. Because of your slefish choices I may have lost out on meeting my true mate. I..."
Shawna's voice cracked from the cries that wanted to escape. But she was done crying beacuse of him. She was done being weak in front of him. "I should be happy every morning I wake up next to my mate. Instead every morning for the last year I have been in total fear of waking up next to my mate. I have constantly been tiptoeing around you. Trying to meet your every whim. Hoping this time. Today would be the da I finally do something right, something you would be proud of and thankful for. This would be the day you would stop beating me for my screwups. Turns out I was never the problem. It was you all along. YOU were the problem. YOU were the screw up! I was the victim in all of this. But not just me. Oh, no. What happened to your true mate, huh? What happened to her?" With each question Shawna came towards him like a drunken fool. She was drunk. Drunk with anger. Drunk with madness of what she had just been told. "I just found out that my whole mating was a total sham. A complete and utter lie. Do I even have a true mate? If so have they given up on me? On us? What if I never find my true love? You! What have you done with my happily ever after, huh? Answer me!" Shawna began punching and shoving Harpo like a madwoman. "Shawna! Please, stop! You're hurting me! My back!" Harpo screeched. " Oh, Poor Harpo.Screw your pack you henious vile creep! You didn't care about hurting me everyday we've been mated. Even when I begged you to stop! You could have stopped. You could have told me the truth. But you didn't why, huh?! Were you really trhat self absorded and full of yourself that you didn;t even have the decency to tell me the truth? You could have at least sparred me the verbal assault but, no! So shut up, and take it like the man you pretend to be!" After several more punches, Shawna suddenly stopped beating up on Harpo and she stepped back from his bedside. They were both panting heavily. Harpo was crying in agony. Shawna stared down at the man she thought she loved, and thought loved her. Seeing him now like this, she barely recognized the pathetic creature that lay before her. Her wolf came to the surface in the same moment that she had the thought to end both of their misery. Though still in human form, Her wolf's yellow eyes told Harpo who was in control of Shawna's body. "You know what, Harpo? I think I can fix this for the both of us." Shawna's wolf spoke in a sultry calm voice. "You know, I think I am mmmm...mmuuchhh better nnnnoo... nnnoooww." Harpo stuttered looking up into the eyes of his chosen. "No, I think you are suffering way to much. This is all way to -- unpleasant for you. But don't worry. I can save you. Take away your pain, and put you out of your misery for good."
With that Shawna's body lunged forward not so calm anymore. She began shrieking out a war like call. She was aimed at killing Harpo, and her method of choice was going to be strangulation. Harpo realizing what was happening, tried to scream for help, but Shawna's wolf snatched a pillow from under his head and muffled his cries. Her glowing bright yellow eyes filled with excitement and a mischievous grin all over her face. She began smothering Harpo with the pillow lsying all her weight into the pillow and his face. He was fighting as hard as he could. He was in no condition to fight anyone, let alone an enranged mate who had just found out her mating was all a sham. With his spine injuries it was only so much pressure he could endure, yet he kept trying to fight Shawna off, because he really didn't want to die. But his fight was in vain, as Shawna's wolf was much stronger than he was at this point. He couldn't call upon his wolf, as it was still trying to recover from the battle that night. All of the machines that he was hooked up too started going haywire and sounding off alarms, as Harpo was slipping further and further into oblivion. Just as the heart monitor flat lined, Shawna's wolf removed the pillow from Harpo's face and gently placed it back behind his head.
Seeing him lying their lifeless, she grinned a wide-tooth grin. "Goodbye Harpo Jenkins." After that she released her control back to Shawna. But not before saying to her, "You're welcome." As Shawna's eyes slowly transitioned back to their almond brown color, fear started to build within them. Shawna saw the whole thing happened, but was completely helpless to prevent it. Despite all of the heart ache and torture, that was not how she wanted to dissolve herself from Harpo. She was helpless to do anything more than watch her false mate slip into the great beyond. Her wolf used all of her pent up anger and sorrow to push forward and do the one thing Shawna could only dream of doing, but would have never actually done herself. In a panic and frantic at what she-- no her wolf had done-- she ran out of the room screaming for help. "Help! Anyone?! Someone ! My mate... Harpo. He's... Where is everybody?!" She wailed frantically. "Nurse Wilcox came barreling out from the room down the left side of the hallway. "Sorry we had another warrior who wasn't doing too hot. What is it?" She querried. "Harpo. He...he... Please. I... He's..." She couldn't bring herself to say it out loud. "Nurse Wilcox rushed past Shawna and into Harpo's room. She saw the machine and started doing CPR. She called a code and then the doctor. Doctor Tate, rushed over from the opposite side of the hallway looking past Shawna and started working on Harpo. Together they started shocking him to ressucitate, but it was too late. He was gone. Through all of her tears and shock, Shawna finally broke down when she faintly heard Doctor Tate say. "That's it. I'm calling it. Time of death 3:15AM."
