Ellio stirred awake, his body drenched in sweat. The scorching rays of the sun beat down on his face, streaming in through the open, damaged wooden window. He squirmed slightly, only to realize that large, heavy arms were wrapped around him, holding him so tightly that each breath felt shallow and labored. The warmth pressed against him was both suffocating and oddly familiar, making him struggle between panic and the faint comfort of a protective embrace.
