His hunger had made Azure lose his sanity. He is currently holding onto the last strand of his control.

No matter what Azure said, Alvi remained in the same spot. He stood strong against his own twin brother. Killing Ellio is not the solution to this problem. He knows that hunger is what drives Azure mad and once he satisfies his hunger, once the madness subsides, he will regret it immediately. Alvi doesn't want his twin to suffer the consequences of the actions that Alvi could have stopped from happening.
