At the main entrance at the Dining Hall, Ellio stood there unable to move. Xorran was sitting in front of Cosme. The latter was talking about something Ellio doesn't care about while the former listened to him.
Ellio wasn't sure if he was seeing it right but Xorran looked like he couldn't care less. He was present but his mind was wandering somewhere else. The rest of the maids with their own food carts went towards the table.
"What are you doing?" A maid stopped upon seeing him in a halt. "Go and serve the food to the Alpha."
"Yes," Ellio immediately nodded and continued his walk towards the table. At every step, the human's heart was beating so loud in nervousness.
He stopped near Xorran wherein there was a space on the table where he could place the food in his food cart.
