Their training went on for another week. They start before the sun shines and ends after the sun sets. After that last intimate encounter they had, Damascus and Ellio never had any deep conversation again except the casual talk.
Damascus had witnessed how Ellio had taken their training seriously after the words that he had spoken to the human. The guardian of the demon rarely felt any guilt but the angel within him comes out when Ellio becomes involved.
He admits he felt guilty for saying that Ellio can't always expect people to protect him but the human needed to hear it. It was also wrong for him to mention Xorran when he's aware how badly Ellio wants to forget the Alpha. But it can't be avoided when Xorran is involved and in fact, the root of all this chaos.
