Ellio had his eyes closed as he landed on the sand. Due to the height of the ravine, half his body got buried in the sand. It took Ellio a few seconds to process that he survived the fall. To tell the truth, he wasn't really sure about the safety of falling on the sand earlier. He only said it to encourage the twin phoenix as well as himself.
"We're alive.." he opened his eyes and tapped on the sand that burried him from the waist down. "WE'RE ALIV―mghmm!" His mouth got immediately closed by a rough and huge palm. It was Azure's hand who had stopped Ellio from screaming because the Danlopes above might hear them. Azure pointed upwards and when Ellio followed it, he indeed saw the Danlopes standing at the edge of the land, looking for them.
