Xorran and Pawn moved from one location to another, their search growing more restless with each passing hour. They rummaged through the Phoenixes’ library in the hopes of finding some useful information regarding the shard. Book after book was opened, their pages hastily flipped and carefully examined, yet even among the hundreds they had gone through, there was no indication of the shard’s possible location.
Even though Alvi was against it, Pawn and Xorran still went through their ancestral artifacts and visited several potential locations. They searched thoroughly, leaving no corner unchecked, but the entire day was spent in vain. No matter how much effort they poured into it, they found nothing.
The sun was slowly setting. Exhausted and tired, they decided to go back to the castle. W
