"Shut up... Don't make things up."
This was something he certainly didn't expect to see today or any day for the matter.
He could see the tips of Kei's ears burn a light rosy pink.
The poor guy probably isn't used to being the one not in control.
Tadashi felt like he just discovered a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
How long can Kei endure his mouth without screaming?
A new sort of desire came barreling into the deep canals of his mind.
He swooped in front of the tall blonde and slammed his hands on either side of his head, preventing him from escaping. Kei's arms naturally find their way around Tadashi's hips where he gripped onto the fabric of his clothes like a lifeline.
Tadashi licked his lips then brought them closer to Kei's ear.
He's considering this as payback for yesterday.
"Do you like being called beautiful?"
"Stop it."
"Why should I? Isn't this what you did to me last night? I think it's only fair that your violations be returned."
Kei thickly swallowed, his breathing going ragged. Tadashi proudly grinned, he slowly dragged his hand onto Kei's chest. He undid the first few buttons of Kei's silky dress shirt then lightly ran the tips of his fingers over his snowy collar bones.
"You were being so fierce yesterday, what happened?"
"...And you were being so submissive... I thought you were weak."
"Well, I guess you made a mistake."
"Yeah... Yeah, I guess I did."
The corners of Tadashi's mouth twitched into a smile. He sighed and loosed his cage. He re-buttoned Kei's shirt then gave him a firm pat on the chest.
"See you."
Kei stood there stunned while the sweet-scented boy casually walked away as if nothing happened.
Tadashi was feeling a bit rebellious today so he ditched work entirely and decided to stroll around Hamera for entertainment.
Thus, leading him to his current location. His feet naturally carried him to the grand Cardinal fountain.
Its wings stretched wide and its beak pointing towards the sky as if ready to take flight.
He sat on the concrete ring circling the pretty bird and gazed at the starry sky. He found out why there was no one at Kissin' today. No one was there because everyone is here in the square.
The loud voices mixed with the cheerful Violin being played by the local street performer left no room for silence. Being surrounded by so many voices, there was bound to be some form of drama to reach Tadashi's ears.
It wasn't his intention. He didn't mean to eavesdrop.
But when you overhear a boisterous group of females gossiping about the one person who you think about every instant. It's hard not to listen.
He didn't want to believe it at first.
He was sure he had heard it incorrectly. But when she repeated his name a second time, he knew she was surely talking about Kei.
"I hope the King takes the Young Prince with him when he stops by our region."
"Don't be silly, everyone knows Kei Tsukishima is off-limits."
"It's a shame. He's so handsome, but I've heard he has a horrible personality."
Horrible personality?
Like her's is any good. She's done nothing but talk about other people for the last hour.
"That's not even the worst part.
A friend of mine who once worked at the palace told me that the young prince was evil. That he could do terrible things. She said he could create monsters from his palms as easily as breathing."
Tadashi whipped his head away from the stars. He put on his meanest stare and glared voids right into the woman's face. He had no more interest in listening to the nonsense spewing from her mouth.
"What are you staring at?"
The lady spoke with a thick layer of disgust. She turned back to her friends as if Tadashi wasn't even there and begun to gossip about someone new.
Oh, she has no idea who she's talking to. He flashed a toothy smile and thought of all the unpleasant things he'd love to tell her.
"Is it fun? You know... Being the way you are?"
"What are you talking about?"
"You. I'm talking about you."
Tadashi swerved to the side and sat criss-cross. Putting all of his attention on her to prove his point.
"I happen to be quite experienced in dealing with insects. And based on what I heard, it sounds like you enjoy it. You enjoy being revolting. It's kinda gross if I'm being honest."
To further put the icing on the cake. Tadashi fake flips his long hair with his hand.
"You can't talk to me like this!"
"b***h, I just did. I have tissues in my pocket if you wanna cry about it."
The lady jumps up from her seat.
She stomps away like a brat that didn't get what they wanted during Christmas. Her group of friends shortly follow. Finally leaving Tadashi alone to return to the stars above.
That irrelevant encounter happened only a few moments ago. A few moments ago when he began to realize how serious his situation is.
Kei isn't some dependable Knight in shining armor like he assumed.
Kei is goddamn Royalty, a Prince.
He should have trusted his instincts from the begging.
He knew getting involved with Kei was a disastrous idea. Still, he let his heart overpower his head. And now he's put both Kei, and himself in danger.
The burning tears came quicker than he could control. They rained down his cheeks in slow trickles, landing with quiet pats on his dark slacks.
How pathetic, to be crying alone while everyone else is smiling and having a good time.
He forces himself to snap out of his depressive state. He should be getting home by now anyway, it would suck if Hinata found out he was crying again.
His legs force him to stand.
He never disconnects his gaze from the dark sky as he begins to stroll away from the Cardinal fountain.
The stars above.
They looked so free, peaceful, beautiful.
It was an unusual feeling, the feeling of envying the stars.
"If only..."
"Is it common for you to talk to yourself?"
Pausing dead in his tracks. Tadashi whisks his head away from the starry sea and back to the real world.
This nightmarish planet that constantly seems to be testing him to see how long he can survive without turning into a vicious animal.
"Kei..."
Here he is, in the flesh once again as if he appeared from thin air.
It was like all the misery prowling around in Tadashi's mind evaporated into nothingness.
His mind was still, as was the rambunctious chatter of Hamera's citizens. And as was the warm golden glow of the flickering street lights which faded into slow-moving bubbles of firey spheres and haven.
Tadashi felt the world blur around him. Everything else faded while one something only gleamed brighter.
Kei. He gleamed so brilliantly that Tadashi had to look away. And as he looked away, he recalled how he cried.
He's already cried over Kei more times than he would have liked.
And his tears will continue to grow into puddles until they turn into lakes too deep to swim out of.
He can't be with Kei.
No matter how much his heart weeps, he can't risk Kei's life for his own selfish desires.
It was a heinous moment.
When he peered at the visible confusion coating Kei's expression.
He didn't know what else to do.
So, he spun on his heels and ran.
He ran away as fast as his legs would carry him.
