I stepped into the elevator and pressed the fifth floor button. I'm glad that this elevator is always empty. It's Roderick's personal lift to his suit and office.
I rested my back against the wall as I waited for it to arrive at my destination. By the time, the lift finally arrived and opened with a ding sound, I was already lost in my head as my mind was so occupied with a lot of things. I forgot to pay attention to where I was heading to. And as soon as I stepped out from the elevator, my knees was forced to connect with the hard floor as I fell forward landing on my knees and palm with a loud thud.
