I was suddenly blessed by the sight of my mate when I regained conscience. And I can't imagine how happy I was to behold her sight, with her in my hands, our lips connected. I had a feeling that it was a mistake from her, yet, the joy I felt seeing her this close was indescribable. Her heart beat was pounding so loud in my ears making heart to flutter with joy. She is indeed my true mate; our heart is beating in sync. She was feeling it too.
Yet, I lost her once again.
I groaned in frustration as I sat up from the couch, glaring at my gamma, Chris.
He looked down, scratching the back of his head. He clearly knew what he had done.
It was because of him that that Alice had had the opportunity to escape. She had ran away because of his sudden intrusion.
