“Wow, you are incredible,” Tobias commented as I ran up to him, he clicked the stop watch and looked up at me wearing a proud grin.
“I'm keeping upright,” I said panting, my hands on my knees as I gulped in oxygen.
“Yes you are,” he glanced at my stomach that was now plumb and visible to the eyes, “and the baby looks healthy,” he bent forward, placed his head on my swollen belly, “Am I right?” he teased and I giggled.
I could feel the blood in my veins running wild as my heart was beating like drum.
“Rachael!” I yelled out to her, she was far and not just proximity base but at heart. We hadn't settled, we hadn't talked for months, we just existed.
I knew what I did to her was shitty but I never imagined to stretch out this far.
