Kingdom in Darkness (A Fire Full Of Lies)

Darkness, that was all that Elijah see.

"Light? Mimi?" He roamed his eyes around the place, no sign of anyone. He's alone. Why is he there? What happened? Did something bad happened to him? Why is it so dark? Did they run out of electricity? Where is he anyway?

"Where am I?" He whispered, gently caressing his shoulders to lessen the coldness he suddenly felt.

"Darling.." Elijah turned around as he hear someone called him and right in front of him is his Mom. She looks well and happy. Tears pooled at the side of his eyes as he stared intently at his mother.

"Mama!" His mother then laugh as he lock her in a tight embrace.

"How are you, darling?" She gently smiled and caress his cheek, the teary eyes Elijah just hug her. He miss his Mama.

"Remember what I told you Elijah? That darkness has beauty, and there's a truth behind all lies, that even the scariest monster needs a saving. You just have to believe.."

"Not everything that you hear and see is the truth, everyone can tell a lie and act strong when their not, but always remember to see through their heart. The goodness in them is hidden in there.."

"ELIJAH!" A frustrated voice shouted, shaking his shoulders in a fast pace that made him open his eyes instantly and in front of him is a panicking Light which made him confused.

"What happened?" He ask, still disoriented from the dream where his mother shows herself again. Its been years since his mother did that.

"You don't know what happened? Did you have an amnesia?" Shock, the furious Light ask and that's where he remembers what happened earlier.

They were so excited, thought that their Mimi is not home so they decided to open the closet and when they did, a strong force inside started pulling them inside. All they did was just to shout and curse as the strong force pulls them. And when they were finally inside, that's the part wherein he lost his consciousness.

Elijah's eyes widen and roamed his eyes around only to see that their inside a deep forest.

"Where are we!?" Panicking, he abruptly stand. What the!? How did they got inside a forest? Is the closet some sort of magician? Are they in a show?

"E-elijah.."

"What?!" He shouted, he looks frustrated yet Light looks pale and nervous as hell.

'Danger! Danger!' The red dot of the ring glow as it keeps repeating the same words.

"What is it, Light?" He ask, whispering a little. Light gulped, his shaking hands pointed something in his back that made him look at it which he regretted.

"Damn, what's that?" He ask, horrified, staring at the thing they had never seen in their entire life.

"T-this is just a dream, come on.. This isn't real, damn!" Light shook his head repeatedly, still white as a paper.

"Don't wake that up, or you'll die." A tiny voice said making their forehead creased in confusion. They are just really dreaming! This is not real! How can they be in a forest anyway? They were just in front of the closet earlier! They were even talking about curiosity!

"Who's that? Who are you?" Light ask in whisper not wanting anyone to hear them especially the thing in front of them.

"Are you crazy, Light? Who are you talking with? We're alone here!" Annoyed, Light cover Elijah's mouth before silently dragging him away from the sleeping dragon. And yes a dragon! A big red dragon! Damn, they are really dreaming! There's no dragon in their place, just humans and animals, and dragons isn't part of it.

"No, who are you?"

"Fudge!"

"Holy moly?!"

They both exclaimed, shock.

"This dream is really crazy, come on! Damn, Mimi wake us up... I don't want it in here already.." Elijah mumbled, staring unbelievably at the tiny fairy in front of them. The fairy is really tiny, wearing a tiny cute orange dress and having its wings fits her perfectly.

"Dream? This is not a dream, our world is called Taitanniá. You don't look like mermaids to me. What are you two?" Its tiny forehead knotted in confusion. She looks cute, "Hey, stop!" She hissed angrily when Light tried to catch her.

"Your real?" Dumbfounded, Elijah ask. The fairy nodded firmly.

"Of course I am, so who are you? Trespassers aren't allowed here or you two will die. That dragon, if it wake up, you'll be dead in no time. There are hundreds of dragons here in Taitanniá not just one, if they know that some trespassers are here then they would be happy, they can have two toasted body for dinner---

"W-what?" They gulped. Both their gazes meet, how did they get here? How come? This place, this does not exist for pete's sake yet here they are!

"The closet, is it some sort of portal?" Light ask.

"What? You believe on her? This is just a dream, Light! Nothing in here is real! Come on, she must be kidding us! Just playing around!" Elijah bursted out, panting and panicking.

"This is the consequences of our curiosity, Elijah! Our curiosity leads us here! Why can't you accept it?! If this isn't real then why are we both in here?! Feeling the same, huh?" Annoyed, Light too bursted out.

"How can you accept this so naturally? We are here in a place we don't even recognize! We don't even know that a world like this exist! Damn, dragons died already years ago!"

"I told you, after your curiosity, lesson must be learn."

Both there gazes dance in fire, Elijah gritted his teeth in annoyance, before he sighed and look away.

"Uh..."

They both look at the fairy who look scared and nervous, "I think you two should start to hide and run?" She suggested and before they could say anything, the fairy fly away. They were both in range earlier that they didn't notice the red dot in their ring glowing as the word 'Danger! Danger!' keeps on repeating.

"Hide? Run? For what?" And before Light fully understand her message, a roaring voice thundered in the peacefulness they shared.

"Run!" Elijah didn't think twice, dragging Light with him, they run and run.

"f**k, why does Mimi own a closet like that? Its a freaking portal! To another world!" Light exclaimed, still running.

Both of them were tired but the sound of strong big wings behind them made them run more despite the tiredness they felt. They are very hungry yet it can't be, they don't want being toasted! And they're not foods! Damn, they still have dreams in life and yet here they are, being chase by a dragon in another world called Taitanniá.

"Here!" A tiny voice shouted, relief was all they felt when they saw the tiny fairy again.

"Where are we going?" They both ask but they were shushed by her, "The dragon might here you. All you need to do is run, a cave is hidden in there. You can hide there for awhile.." Said the fairy, pointing the cave's way. Without any choice, they followed what she say and true to her words, a dark and scary cave welcomed them ahead.

"I don't trust that cave," said by Elijah. His face is full of distaste.

"I don't trust it either but I don't trust the dragon too."

Silence welcomed them when they enter the cave, crickets can be heard from somewhere.

"Why did we even tried to open that damn closet!? But the greatest question here is why did Mimi have that closet hidden in the attic? Is it hers? Does she know about this place? This is fantasy for pete's sake! Yet here we are, damn being chase by a dragon, talking to a little tiny fairy! What's next? Damn! This is frustrating!" Elijah frustratedly bursted out, Light hissed and shushed him.

"Calm down, will you? We can't be chase by another creatures now, we don't even know this place. We can't hide, well be dead in no time.."

"And besides, your excited about the closet, right? Here it is now, the answer. Its a portal to another world wherein fantasy is alive.."

"How about Mimi? We've been gone for hours now, she'll surely be worried about us." The two look down, sadness is written all over their face. They can't do anything now, they are already here. A way to get out is to know how but with those big and scary creatures chasing them can't be a help. They need to be stronger than those, even stronger than the dragon.

"Do you know how to kill a dragon?" Light ask, his face became sour as he mentioned the mythical creature, they were just talking about that thing in class, they just see it from movies, read those from books yet here they are, actually seeing one. Tremendous and alive, and the funny part is, they will be the toasted food if the dragon caught them.

"Nah, in movies they killed it using swords but its a movie anyway not the actual thing and the actual thing is scary.." Elijah trembled and wiggled his body remembering the dragon's face. Its not ugly but not that beautiful too, its amazing but the thought of them being a food is not a good idea.

"Can we used something for it? Like a robot?" Light then suggested.

"I don't know, for now. What we need is to find a better hideout. We can't hide here forever, I dont really trust this cave. We need to know things about this world, something is really out. It can't be that were here coincidentally because we accidentally open the closet.."

"Its not accidental, i***t. We really planned to open it." Light corrected as a matter of fact.

"Which I wish we didn't did." Elijah rolled his eyes.

"This is lesson learned then but the fact will never change, we need to face the consequences of our actions by being here.."

'Growwwl..'

"You heard that?" Elijah ask, his forehead creased hearing a low growl from somewhere.

"Here what?" Light ask in confusion, staring outside the cave, waiting for the tiny fairy to came back. The fairy is their only way to know more about this world they are in, she's their only way so they can finally go home.

'Growwwl'

"That." Answered by Elijah, roaming his eyes around to see something in the cave. There is really something wrong, he doesn't trust the cave, nor its presence because its giving him different chills.

He squinted his eyes when he saw something near the rocks, darkness was swallowing it so its very much hard to see the thing clearly. He took a step closer to the black thing only to take a step back again as his eyes widen in surprise.

'Growwwl'

"Take a step back, Light. Slowly." Elijah whispered, "Why? What's wrong?" The clueless nerd ask.

"Shhh.." Gently they took a step back until the sunlight from outside welcomed them, the dragon is nowhere to be found now yet here they are, again, if ever will be chase by a damn...

"Its a big black bear with big horns, sleeping soundly, damn.."

"The bearcornu.." Both of them were startled when the tiny fairy suddenly appeared in front of them.

"Bearcornu?" Light look lost, well there's no such thing like this in their world. Only bear, polar bears and a we bare bears exist! Ops, we bare bears exist in movies but they at bears.

"Yeah, they are big creatures with two big horns. All of them are black and they live inside a cave because they hate sunlight, that's their weakness. They only come out at night and used their big red eyes for hunting foods. Some of my dear friends died because of that, no one knows how to have light at night, we cannot protect ourselves from them and their big so we don't have any choice but to be their food.." The fairy sadly said, she looks sad, maybe its hard to live wherein danger is alive and you don't know when will you last and live in your lifetime.

"Don't you fairies have magic? Like a pixie dust? Like Tinkerbell?" Elijah ask, remembering the movie Tinkerbell wherein every fairy has magic, its either for plants, water, things or even light!

"Sadly, we lost our powers years ago when the kingdom fell in the dept's of darkness. The queen and king died, the princess is nowhere to be found, our only hope is gone.."

"Its like in the movie Frozen.." He even nodded his head.

"Don't you have any hideout here tiny fairy? We can't let ourselves die, we still need to go back home, this isn't our home.." Light said, ignoring what Eljah said. Elijah can't be a help in such situation, he keeps on blabbering things that isn't even real. Well, in this situation they are in, it looks not real but its real. Ugh confusing yeah, but what they are in are all real, if the dragon caught them then they'll be toasted, and if the bearcornu caught them then they'll be dead. There's no way out!

"I can't lead you in our tree, trespassers aren't allowed." The fairy said, "And my name is Mirebelle, what's yours? And what are you?"

"I'm Elijah and his my friend Light, we are humans from the other world." The fairy look shocked, "You two are humans!?" She exclaimed, dumbfounded.

The two nodded briefly earning a gasp from the tiny Mirebelle.

"We two, disobeyed our Mimi's condition not to open a certain closet and when we did, this weird things welcomed us. We don't know why it happened, we're confused why a closet became a portal to another world and we want to know more answers about that without being toasted nor dying." Light chuckled lightly. The tiny fairy stared at them intently, shock is still written in her tiny face.

"Its been years since a human came here.."

"Santi!" The tiny Mirebelle looks happy seeing the old...

"Dwarf.." Their mouth hang open staring at the creature in front of them. An old dwarf is in front them, talking and alive! The dwarf is wearing only a thin piece of cloth, it has stables in his chin and a mustache, its color is dark brown and have big and small dots in his skin. The weariness in him is visible because of oldness.

"W-wait, you mean we aren't the first humans that came here!?" Elijah exclaimed, wide eyes. The dwarf nodded his head, "You two are not the first, yes, that's why you have to leave now.." Santi said stiffly, glaring at the both tof them.

"W-what? But we don't know how! If only we knew then we will, we won't ever come back in here if possible! This world of yours is crazy! Danger awaits wherever we go, damn I don't want to die.." Elijah bursted out, half glaring at the old dwarf.

"Humans, you're the reason why our world became chaotic, if its not for humans then till now, fairies could have protect their selves with their magic, mermaids could have their feet, us, dwarf can still wield things without feeling any anxiety. We could have been free and happy, so leave humans! We don't need you here!" The tiny fairy stop the dwarf from being too aggressive, still, the dwarf keeps on throwing death glares at them.

He looks pained and sad and so are they, they don't know what humans did to the poor dwarf but he looks deeply scarred.

"We don't know, w-we aren't like them. W-we can help you get rid of the---

"They offered help too but they fooled us! Lies! Humans, you are all full of lies!" The old Santi spat angrily.

"They just want our gold and silvers! Our treasures! The king and queen died yet no humans ever tried to help them, no one came when the darkness swallowed our kingdom!" His eyes dance in the fire of anger, clenching his fist in a tight way.

"B-but we are not them.." Elijah looked hurt, staring sadly at the poor old dwarf, "My friend and I mean no harm, if we found the way out then will leave. I'm sorry for what had humans did to all of you here, we didn't know... But I hope that we can help you even just a little.."

"Mirebelle? Maybe we can help you, we can't leave you all here knowing that we didn't do anything that can help you with your problems.." The tiny fairy looks hesitant and scared but Elijah smiled and Light did too.

"No, we don't need any of your help." The old dwarf interfered. The two boys sighed in defeat.

"Okay. We are deeply sorry.."

Now their only way and chance to know more about the place is blown up, the dwarf hated them so maybe the tiny fairy feel the same way too. How come humans hurt such wonderful beings? They thought that fairies, dwarf and dragons aren't real yet here they are, seeing and talking with them.

"Is Mimi one of those humans? Is that the reason why she have that closet? Does she know about this world too? Is she coming too get us?" Light ask out of the blue, they both sighed, feeling frustrated for what they are both in.

"When we get back, I'll definitely ask Mimi. I will confront her about it. Maybe she knows something especially the death of the queen and king. And they said that the kingdom was swallowed by darkness, what does they mean about that? I don't understand.." Elijah ranted, they are both confused. They have so many questions in their head.

"Before we go back, can we make something first? A thing that can help the fairies to shoo the bearcornu away especially at night, even just this one. For us to help them.." Light nodded in agreement.

'Danger! Danger!'

"But before that, maybe the right thing to do right now is for us to run?" Elijah ask staring at his ring before lifting his gaze only to see the dragon's big wings flapping in the air.

"f**k this danger!" Light cursed.

"Danger loves us, so much much..." Elijah said in a sarcastic way before they run their asses up.
