Everything becomes so boring... Devin insists that I rest and I have been doing just that and now I feel choked up. He has been gone for a while now. He is out because Tom said he needed help with something and Devin was just the help he needed.
I stand in the hallway for a moment, looking toward Devin’s door, then back toward my room.
Laundry. That’s what I came out for.
I gather the pile from my room, balancing it against my hip before heading toward the back. Halfway there, I pause.
He left his duvet out earlier and I remember it.
