I didn't know what was wrong, my body kept reacting in a way I couldn't tell. Seeing her in pain was also causing damage to my heart, but I knew I could withstand it. I can't have her doing as she pleases, just because she was my mate, and I was yet to reject her.
I walked back to my office and saw Nadia there. She was so lonely and still hurt, and it melted my heart. I was able to shove the thought about my mate to focus on her alone.
Leaning closer, I gathered her in my arms and took her to a chair close to the table.
