I froze when the words escaped his mouth, eyes wide with shock. I had been so careful, so assured I had indeed worked out a con on him.
"Wolfe?" I asked, my voice shaking ever so slightly.
A chuckle escaped his throat after the deep rumble that made shivers go down my spine. "Oh, Aria! You didn't really think you could hide from me, did you? I knew it was you the moment you called my name.”..
