The women enjoyed their stay with the free Amazons. Beatrice took good care of them. On the second day after the meeting, she took them into the forest. She seemed very excited, and did not want to tell them where they were going. Although Lessja had travelled through the forest a few times, this was the first time she was relaxed enough to take in the riches around her. She noticed plenty of edible plants, medicinal plants, fruit trees and game. Although their own forests were rich in bounty as well, this forest seemed to be even richer. The three women followed a small stream, with clear water snaking through the forest. Lessja could see the footprints of two women, who could not be far in front of them.
‘Are we following these two women?’ The queen pointed to the tracks.
