The elements that comprised the landscapes of various places were always the same. Dust was never in short supply. It was everywhere; both inside and outside. They were on their second day of travel. They weren't keeping up a great pace and had only covered seventy or so miles, which meant that there were nearly as many miles still left to cover before they reached Cloverdale Creek, which was their tentative destination.
