21 Josie I rested my head on my hands with my elbows on my knees and tried to catch my breath as we sat on the park bench outside the doctor’s office. The position made it obvious how much my stomach had already grown. Tipping back so I could take a full breath, I looked up at the huge, puffy white cloud over our heads. The breeze was brisk and chilly off the water, but it felt good on my overheated face. “Of all the people to run into… Why did they have to be there today of all days?” My voice sounded like a whiny moan, but I couldn’t seem to control my emotions.
