“I found him lurking outside the gates.” Adrain kicked Matt in the rib making him curve in a fetal position. I dove knee down to him, wrapping my arms around him. Matt eyes fluttered, brimming with tears glanced at me, and I felt a pang of sorrow pierce my heart. His face was a plaster of bruises and cuts, with swelling that made his eyes puffy eyes almost unrecognizable.
