Chapter Four.

Daisy's P.O.V.

I made sure I set an alarm so as to wake up early because I didn't want to get late on my first day in a new school. The previous night I chatted Emily and kept her updated about me starting school today and she sent all of her best wishes and still had time to tease me. Typical Emily.

I loved being punctual and I also wanted to make a good impression as the saying goes "First Impression Matters A lot". I grabbed my pink Bag pack with soft feathers adorned on it in a fancy cute way and packed in my Books which I designed in motivational stickers, added my jotter and my writing materials.

I laid it carefully on my Bed immediately after that I walked up to my closet in search of a suitable outfit. I settled on a soft cream turtle neck long sleeved blouse with white pearls on the sleeves. I decided to pair it up with a Black pleated fashionable skirt that had a chain jewelry at the side and little white Cross at the edges.

I set it down on the bed added my necklace, Gold bracelet and Apple wristwatch. I dropped my strawberry lotion and body spray on my clothes and headed to the Bathroom to have my bath.

I started by washing my mouth, Brushed my teeth carefully and rinsed it. I had to make a choice between the Hot tub or the shower but since I wanted a quick bath I settled for the shower. I mostly use the Hot Tub at night. And then I washed my hair with Shampoo.

After bathing I dried my body applied body lotion and slipped into the outfit of the day. I decided to let my dark silky hair to fall over my shoulders I combed it and applied coconut oil. and wore a white headband over it.

I coated my lips with Fruity lip gloss which made it looked shiny and attractive and I applied a tiny little bit of mascara which enhanced my long lashes.

I took my White sneakers from my closet wore it and added a Pink handkerchief inside my Backpack. Satisfied with my look and twirling in front of the mirror. I feel like a princess already.

I proceeded to go upstairs when I encountered with Josh in the hallway.

Someone's quite ready for school that I didn't need to wake her up. Josh said teasingly.

Josh I'm ju_just rea_really exc_excited that's all. I replied shyly.

Do I need to add that my little sister looks so pretty today. He said proudly.

Than_Thank you Josh. I ne_need to go meet Da_Daddy and mom_mommy downs_downstairs.

Of course princess Josh excused me leaving for his room while I left for the formal living room where I'm sure my parents will be.

Hey mom Hey Dad. I greeted giving them a side hug while I took my seat.

Daisy you look so pretty today. mom complimented gazing approvingly with a warm motherly smile smeared on her features.

Let me go make breakfast for you baby. Mom said standing up to leave for the kitchen.

Don't wo_worry Mom_mommy I'll just hav_have cere_cereals. I said stopping her.

Baby on the first day of school. you sure why not let me make you something.

No mom hon_honestly it's ok_okay I assured heading to the kitchen to grab a cereal pack from one of the cabinets and a jar of milk.

Mom helped Daddy microwave the leftover dinner from last night as it was his favorite he couldn't get enough of it.

Mom insisted I pack some snacks since I didn't have a proper breakfast I took my favorite strawberry juice, chips and a bar of chocolate.

while I waited patiently for dad to finish eating so we can leave Josh descended from the stairs Greeting our parents cheerfully before settling on cereals too.

Immediately, Dad finished eating he placed a quick kiss on Mommy's lips grabbed his briefcase and adjusted his tie.

Hey J_Josh I'm off to sc_School.

Princess Take care of yourself as much as I know you might be nervous stay cool no one's going to eat you raw and focus. stay dedicated okay. Josh finished with a warm smile.

Of course Josh I will. Thank you I have to go now Byee.

Bye princess.

I headed to mum and hugged her tightly while she caressed my hair and muttered Be safe. I finally released her from the hug gave one final look at her and departed with Daddy with Josh making sure he saw me off.

I entered the car and Daddy started the engines during the ride. He told me few important things about my new school and I couldn't wait to reach there.

After Twenty five minutes drive. we finally arrived in front of a green huge school and dad switched off the car engines and I know for the fact this was my new school.

We stepped out of the car and I saw Different kids of my age range some were older or younger. I was walking along with Daddy before he excused himself and said he needed to take an urgent call.

I was so engrossed admiring the school that I bumped into someone and our foreheads came crashing with each other and I winced at the pain before my head came across to see a tall guy he was very tall maybe about 6'4.

I hadn't realized I was starting to stare too much when I had Daddy's voice behind me.

Daisy he called let's get moving please.

Hey S_Sorry. I managed to mutter on a squeak but he didn't respond he just passed beside me.

Rude much. I thought to myself but I ignored it and joined Daddy.

I guessed we are going to the principal's office after so many left and right turns we finally stopped in front of a huge Brown mahogany Door with the Tag Principal's office on Top.

It was obvious this school was far much more grand than my former. everything looked a good kind of different.

We had to wait outside for some minutes before going in because the secretary stayed the principal was busy with some parents I'm assuming are here for the same issue as mine maybe or maybe not.

After the meeting ended. I and Daddy was allowed inside. The principal's office was big, neat and tidied with huge cabinets and a whole lot of space. The floor sparkled under the Bright lights of the office and the room was air conditioned.

We exchanged greetings and the principal offered us seats. The principal had Brown greying hair and he appeared to be fifty or so but I was sure he was a few years older than my dad due to different physical appearance as a result of age.

I sat their quietly beside Daddy while he interacted with the principal about me.

The principal scanned my documents before clearing his throat Based on her previous academic performance and educational history. Mr Wilson he said referring to my Daddy I must say she's very intelligent and we are lucky to have her here.

I felt happy due to the compliment and Daddy sent a soft smile my way. At my previous school I was the girl with perfect A's I was pretty sharp when it came to Academics. I was amongst the top five Best students at Riverside Academy.

So she's going to be appointed to her desired class. Miss Wilson he said referring to me we look forward to having you here.

Thank you sir. I appreciated trying not to stutter in front of the principal.

The principal looked up through his glasses and caught sight of a tall guy with a hood passing by.

Mr Smith he called and there was no response. Alec he called again this time referring him by his first name and the Boy immediately halted in his tracks. Alec so that's his name. Something about him felt strongly familiar but I couldn't fathom what exactly.

I tried to catch a glimpse of him but the hood madd it practically impossible and the fact that he was Backing me e didn't exactly help matters.

Show miss Wilson around the school during break the Principal ordered and he nodded disappearing into thin air as if he hadn't been standing right here.

After a five minutes more conversation. The meeting finally ended and Daddy shook hands with the principal bowing slightly while the principal sent me a warm polite smile I acknowledged by smiling softly back.I and Daddy departed from the office shutting the door behind us.

I headed to the school's secretary to have my Time table. Hey name tag read Miss Hazel Adams and she appeared friendly did I mention she was also polite too.

She handed over my timetable and explained how I will get to my first class and I let my brain absorb her words.

Thank you ma'am. I appreciated she simply nodded sending me a smile before continuing her work while I looked back at Daddy.

You sure you can manage on your own?? He asked worry lines etched across his features.

Of cou_course Da_Daddy I can I'm no_not a B_Baby. I can ma_manage on my own. I reassured.

If you say so sweetheart. when it's closing hours you have you Mr phone with you right call Josh to come pick you up. I already informed him earlier but still call.

Okay Da_Daddy I Will. I said embracing him into ond last hug.

Alright sweetheart I have to get going now take care of yourself. Remember Daddy loves you. He yelled behind dashing to his car.

I was all alone now. I grabbed my time table and it's time to figure out where my class was. I eventually figured where it was but I felt nervous, scared and excited to go in although the feeling of fear was greater. I literally had mixed feelings at that point.

I felt my palms began to get sweaty wilm they like me I thought to myself. Then I remembered Daddy's words, Mommy's, Josh and Even Emily. They were all rooting for me and I couldn't afford to let them down all because I was behaving like a coward.

I remembered Josh words "It's not like the are going to eat you raw". I gathered every courage in me to twist that door knob open and when it opened i went in quickly before I could have second thoughts.

The students looked up and I felt a dozen eyes on me. I felt self conscious all of a sudden and stood their awkwardly, shuffling on my feet.

My dear. I heard the soft voice of a teacher and looked up to meet her eyes you are new aren't you?? She asked while I nodded unable to form words.

I could still feel the class eyes on me but I was looking down at my feet so I couldn't know but only imagine what their stares might look like.

Dear do you mind introducing yourself. The teacher asked her voice as soft and patient.

I stood there in an Awkward silence of about two minutes before I managed to utter Daisy Wilson and I still stuttered. I wonder what they must think of me now. Great Daisy Great. I thought inwardly.

Someone raised their hands to ask a question. my eyes shot up and it was a boy with Dirty blonde hair.

Why are you just here. He asked in a curious tone.

Well I'm n_new here Jus_just re_relocated. my voice barely above a whisper.

From where another person asked.

Nor_North Carolina. I replied feeling tense due to the dozen of watchful eyes.

What school. Another person asked from the back.

I was about to answer before the teacher held my hands softly stopping me.

The questions are enough. she said sternly.

But. Then unsatisfied rumors arouse.

Miss Lily permit me to say something. A brunette boy asked politely standing up while the teacher whom I just found out is Miss Lily nodded in approval.

How old are you Kos girl you look like Fifteen. He said somehow rudely and majority bursted into Fits of laughter while the teacher tried to maintain order.

I'm ac_actually Sev_Seventeen. I answered honestly while most looked in disbelief I get that look often when I reveal my age to most people.

That's enough class. The teacher cautioned and the laughter died down though there was still faint noises at the Background.

She looked around checking for where I could sit before a girl with fiery red hair volunteered I could sit with her.

Miss Lily asked me to go sit there for the mean time. I sat beside the girl and passed her a small grateful smile which she nodded too and the teacher continued the rest of the class.

I brought out my noteboom and my writing materials beginning scribbling away on my exercise book.

When it came to explanation time. Miss Lily made sure to carry me along. So Miss Wilson before you came in we were discussing about mixtures and compounds am sure you all must have an idea or two about the Topic. Can someone stand up and help us with their definitions briefly. Miss Lily announced.

The boy I recognized with Dirty Blonde hair from earlier raised his hands along with some other two.

Mr Brown go ahead. Miss Lily gestured to the boy with Dirty Blonde hair He began and he had a deep throaty voice.

I new about this topic but I was scared to contribute reasons because I stuttered and I was also new. Either ways he began.

A mixture is formed when two or more chemicals are combined without a chemical reaction. Each substance keeps it own properties and can usually be separated easily. Examples include Salt&Water, Sand&Sugar, or air. He finished and was about to continue to compounds before Miss Lily stopped him.

Oh. my. Did she just Call me or is there another Miss Wilson. I fidgeted while The red haired tapped me. She's referring to you she said gently.

I stood up cleared my throat and began to speak softly while trying to hide my stutter. sooner or later they would find out but not like this so I began to speak carefully and I was able to define well with only a few stutter.

Miss Lily flashed me a appreciating smile while The red haired girl smiled softly at me.

Mr Smith do you have any contributions. Miss Lily asked and I wondered who the said Mr Smith was.

No. he replied curtly. I wondered if he was the same Mr Smith from Earlier

The Bell rang indicating the end of the period. Miss Lily packed her Books and headed out.

This is going to be a very long Day.

He wore crazy black jeans and a black hoodie. He was dressed in a Black hoodie as well. He was dangerously handsome with charcoal Dark hair and forest green eyes
