The thunder had faded into a low grumble in the distance by the time Kieran and Raymond arrived at the apartment Raymond shared with Will. The sky remained overcast, fat raindrops splashing the sidewalk as they shook the wet from their shoulders and stepped inside.
Will was already at the breakfast bar, eating cereal and flirting casually with a girl neither of them had seen before. She perked up immediately when she saw Kieran walk in.
Will raised a brow.
Kieran, very used to the attention, offered a polite nod before she practically leapt into small talk—clearly more interested in his future crown than anything else.
