Jasmine's p.o.v.
I waited for Lucas for what felt like an eternity. The waiter had come by multiple times, and I had even chosen my dessert. I started to worry, wondering if something had happened, and decided to step outside to look for him.
As I made my way to the garden, I spotted Lucas engaged in a conversation with someone, probably his father. He looked nervous, fidgeting with his hands.
"Lucas?" I whispered, but he didn't hear me.
"Yes, dad, I'll take care of it. I have already handled the previous task you gave me. And don't worry, I won't involve Jasmine."
