The unforgettable rouge

First day

I start getting myself ready the room is pale blue with a small wardrobe a bedside table and a single bed with an awfull pink flowery bedspread not my style at all, but the bathroom! Theres an onsuite i always wanted one its white tiles throughout with a shower and a separate bath! I brush my teeth and hair and put the toiletries laura got me in the glass cabinet above the sink, deodorant, a brush, toothbrush, toothpaste and a razer plus some generic shampoo body wash its not a lot but it covers all my needs.

I pull on my new jeans and top and inspect myself in the mirror, i can only see my head and shoulders in the mirror but i look decent and not as dead as i feel. My green eyes aren't as sparkly as useall and my shoulder length brunette hair isnt as shiny but i dont look terrible. Im nervous about my first day ive never been to school before me and mom moved around to much she didn't like to settle in one place or trust schools so she always home schooled me herself and she was a great teacher. I can smell pancakes cooking downstairs and decided to go help myself. I scoff 3 of them down in seconds dan and laura look on in shock across the kitchen table at me

"sorry i didnt relise how hungry i was"

Eat as much as you want Dan tells me warmly but you might have to eat in the car lets get going were gonna be late.

We sit in silence for the 15 minutes it takes to get there neither of us really knows what to say to the other, finally we arrive!

"Have a good day Rebecca il pick you up at 3 o clock then laura wants to take you shopping to fill your wardrobe up"

"thanks il see you later" i say as i step out and close the door, i start heading towards the building to find the office. I notice a lot of people looking at me curiously but i suppose that's to be expected however i didnt expect the downright hostile glances some of the kids are giving me.
