Don't Look Back

Chapter 3

I sat there in a beautiful navy blue cocktail dress nervously in front of the reserved table across from Dr. Sharma whose eyes never left me from the moment I got there. It was awkwardly silent, it has been 20 minutes in there and I was already feeling uncomfortable. I shouldn’t have come but he wouldn’t stop being so damn creepy and now I’m here he still doesn’t stop this behavior, I felt like getting up and running outside looking at his creepy smile. I couldn’t do this anymore so I thought of breaking the long silence “Dr. I’m so sorry but I have.....” cutting me off he motioned to the waiter who soon came closer to the table and whispered something to him. “Ok cool bring it.” he said looking at the waiter and then at me “our food is ready why not we start eating”. No one even asked me what I wanted to have and it's all ready to eat? He ordered food for me not even asking what I liked. Whatever I was only thinking about the best possible way to leave soon “I’m sorry but you clearly know I’m not here for your treat, I have to leave soon so let's talk and clear things out....” I purposefully wanted it to sound irritating so that he ends this soon. “We are already here in Celestial Max then let's eat something before we leave.”

“But I.....”

“Come on Herlin, we can talk later.”

Once the food arrived I again tried to talk to him but again he told me lets eat first. I thought he do try to talk while eating but NO and again it was so silent the whole time till we finished our meal “Can I please speak now?”

“Herlin, there are people watching us here I’ll drop you back home lets talk then.” He said while we rose from the table.

“Dr. Sharma I don’t want you to drop me back home I can....”

He just held my hand and led me out of the hotel, the moment we got out I let go of his hold and told I’m leaving. “But I thought you wanted to talk babe”

Who the f*** is that? “I think its way too informal to call me Herlin as it do be better if you called me Dr.Herlin”

“After this I won’t trouble you at all.......I promise”

What if he tries to hurt me? But will he be bold enough to hurt me outside the hospital? My home wasn’t far away from here so I’ll surely be home in less than 5 minutes so I agreed and got into his car.
