Unbreakable Bond

Chapter 14

"What the f**k was that?", Isaac said to Isaiah.

"You f*****g everything up as usual", Isaiah responded throwing his hands up, then walked off.

"It's okay, Paige will help Aria come around. She was like that with me too. Plus she just lost her husband, they guy was a traitor and tricked her into marriage and children", Darren told Isaac.

"Yea", was all he said as he walked back to his room.

"Where the hell have you two been?", Aria asked angrily.

"Have you lost your mind", Cora said looking at Aria like she would still whip her bottom.

"Sorry grandmothers, she going through a lot at the moment and we just had-".

"I am not talking to you sweetheart", Cora said giving Paige soft eyes. "You may speak Aria", she said harshly to Aria.

"Why haven't you been answering Paige? We need you and you want me to watch my tone. All this s**t that's been going on", she paused for a moment turning to Dorothy "And you, you are not dead. What was keeping you?", Aria was fed up and confused.

"You must want me to leave. Come back when you know how to talk to the person who took care of you", Cora said then disappeared.

Paige sighed and shook her head. "Why can't you just be calm for one damn second!", Paige yelled at Aria.

"I've been through more than I should. I need answers now", Aria turned her glare to Dorothy. 

She was just watching Aria. She knew what was going on but it was nothing she could do about it. Aria needed to grow up.

"Take a step back and breathe", Dorothy said. 

She did it for herself and began. "What seems to be the problem Paige?"

"Why didn't you-" Aria began.

"Aria dear I said Paige. Sit there quietly until I say you can speak, since you want to act like a child", Dorothy said turning back to Paige. "Go on Paige".

"Well we kind of know where Grace is, well we met her through the twins link. I don't know how that happened. We need to know where we can find Grace and why weren't we told about older brothers?", Paige finished waiting on her grandmother and seeing the shock on her face.

Dorothy took another deep breathe. "Okay, well, we could not tell you about your brothers for the same reason we could not tell them about you. Future tampering. They were going to find you after they found Grace which is weird because you all are together now but still no Grace", she said thinking.

"Yeah they save Paige and the other mutants, then my son said they looked like my father who he has never met. Can you explain that?", Aria asked more calm but she aggressive.

"Did I tell you to speak Aria?" Dorothy asked.

"No you did not but-".

"No buts, you will get your turn. You need to be getting Cora back, she know more than I. They do not tell me much", she stopped then turned to Paige. "How do my boys look? We missed out on watching them grow and I want to see them. Cora was more determined to go against what the ancestors said than I was".

"They......well they look like father", Paige said.

Aria rolled her eyes, trying not to be angry, she knew it was not her grandmothers fault for the way things went but they knew. That hurted her more than anything else at the moment.

"You want to keep those eyes sweetie?", Dorothy asked Aria.

"Yes grandmother I do", Aria said straightening a bit. 

She wanted to talk so, she had to get her act together. Mostly she wanted to cry and ball up in bed alone. She couldn't allow anyone to know that; she was sure Paige knew though.

"You need to go back where you seen her with the twins and pull her out through their mind link or you need to pay attention to her surroundings so you can get to where she is", Dorothy said.

"So my twins connection to her can help better than Paige's connection? How will we be able to pull her out through and mind link?", Aria asked Dorothy confusion in her expression.

"Yes the twins connection are more powerful and fresh. Paige doesn't even remember those connections she had to Grace, do you Paige?".

"No ma'am, I do not", Paige said shaking her head and trying to remember.

"Well that settles that and to pull her out will be very difficult. You will need your brothers and Cora and I. Try her surrounding first, if that doesn't work then we'll proceed", Dorothy explained hoping to not need to do the latter.

"We already been and it does not show much. I was sensing something but it was like a memory where our mother was alive. It is an old memory she has to be using to make the twins comfortable", Paige realized as she was saying the words out loud.

"I am not sure how she is doing that but you must be talking through her subconscious mind. She might be somewhere unconscious, either way you guys may actually need us. We have to pull her out. I'll talk to Cora and possibly your mother but gather everything we will need. In three days time we will meet again", Dorothy finished then disappeared.

There was a list of items needed, sitting on the floor between them. Aria picked it up and started with the things she took from Cora's house when she went there with Darren. 

"I already have most of the stuff. I guess we will need to talk to the guys and see if they may have anything we can use".

Paige was watching her. She really has lost her mind and her emotions are all over the place.

 "If you want we can take a break today and talk with the guys tomorrow. She said three days, we can relax today", Paige said knowing her sister needed some time to herself. She would not mind taking the twins off her hands.

"No I am fine Paige. We need to get everything first and talk to he guys. It is important they know what is expected of them now and we need everything now", she said trying to keep busy. 

She knew Paige knew that she was off but she had to keep going or she would not be able to get up, after she let go.

"Okay I'll go get Isaiah and Isaac and ask if they have the last things we need", Paige looked back at her sister then left out shaking her head.

Paige found Isaiah in the meeting room talking with other mutants about the safety of the area they were in. Doubling the security and reporting everything even if the wind was blowing too hard or too light. Everything meant something to him. He knew the society will find them but he was going to prolong it as much as he could. He had a number of people he knew who would do the job just right. 

Paige approached him from behind calling his name. He turned to her, raised his hand to let her know he'll be with her in a moment. Once he was done he walked over to her and told her to follow him. They were now in one of the conference rooms were the large sum of data was located but no one was allowed in that room unless he was present.

"We need to know if you have any of these items and grandmother said within three days we need to pull Grace out", Paige handed Isaiah the list and waited for his response.

"Pull her out? How are we supposed to-" he stopped and saw a item that help pull one out of a mind link. "Okay I see now. I do have this on hand. Come with me", he stopped again and turned back to Paige saying "We will not discuss anything until we are back in your room. I do have a better place to do the transformations or procedures. Not really sure what to call it" he laughed then left the room.

Paige just nodded and followed him to the kitchen. To the far left there was a closet she do not recall seeing earlier. There were herbs, potions already made, things she was told she could not use as a little girl and more. She was excited and wanted to touch everything; like a kid in a candy shop. She missed doing spells and potions with her grandmothers. Mostly Cora because she never left the cabin, while Dorothy stayed in the main house after she got passed her grief.

"Okay so, frog tongue check, liquid fire don't need that. Uhhh", Isaiah was cut off by Paige's enthusiasm.

"OMG liquor fire, let me see that", she yelled moving towards him.

"Do not pick it up Paige", he said pointing to it.

"I know not to touch it", she waved at him.

Isaiah got the rest of the stuff while Paige did not help at all. He had to stop her from touching poison and the liquor fire twice. He never seen someone besides Isaac so excited to touch things that literally said do not touch. He laughed because Isaac and Paige were a lot alike. Paige is an adult, she should know better than that, especially since she grew up around it. When he thought about it nope Isaac still think he can touch it and not feel the heat even though we blow s**t up. He shook his head.

"Paige let's go sweetie", he said it as if he was talking to a child.

She rolled her eyes and laughed at him. There was a scream that made them walk out of the kitchen. Down the hall was Kat being held by some tall and very strong dude, while Isaac was talking calmly to her. He wanted her to calm down. She was still screaming when Isaiah and Paige reached them.

"What the hell is going on and how did she get out?", Isaiah asked Isaac.

"She can walk through s**t have you forgotten?", he asked his brother clearly frustrated. People were everywhere.

Isaiah turned his attention to the group gathering, "Everyone please go on about you business".  

The hall was empty after a few minutes.

"She walked through what walls when we had her in the room where no mutant powers worked", Isaiah said to Isaac.

"I was not there. I found her out here throwing people into the walls and she was scratching some kid eyes out. She is crazy and I am about ready to kill her myself", Isaac said looking Kat in the eye. She had scratched him deeply on the arm.

She laughed and it was the most ugly and evil laugh they have ever heard. 

"Tell rocky here to let me go, let's see the killing you will not get a chance to do", she said in between breaths because she was being squeezed very tightly.

"How about we take you back to your room for now, then I'll come check on you and bring you food, huh? What you say?", Isaiah asked.

"Go to hell", she spat.

Isaiah laughed and had the guy take her back with help.

"What's in the bags?" Isaac asked.

"Come on brother, we need to get going anyway. Some things need to be discussed, privately", Paige said walking down to her and Aria's room.
