Chapter 3

"Aria can you hear me!!

Aria

ARIA!! Aria its me Paige! 

"Paige?" She said out loud. 

"Ohh thank GOD I been trying for weeks wtf is going on with you? I've been taken, has Darren reached you yet?" Paige asked. 

"Yes he's with me we're looking for you. Where are you? Are you stuck somewhere in Ibiza?" She asked. 

"Aria listen to my surroundings, my boyfriend, now ex-boyfriend Mark sedated me and brought me here. I don't know where here is but you have to focus Aria please they are killing our kind." 

"Who is they?" Aria asked. 

" The society. Darren knows he'll fill you in. Why have you been blocking me?" 

" I haven't been. I'm just now getting visions again. Everything is coming back, since Darren arrived but this cat I can't get it out of my head. Have you seen it before?"

 Aria showed her the cat from memory. 

" Yes that's Kitty as least that's what I call her. Her names Kat, short for Katie, she works for the society with Mark. I f*****g liked him a lot I can't wait to kill him now." 

"Stay focus Paige." 

"Right ok. Listen, Kat has the similar powers as us. I don't know how but she does so be careful."

"That makes sense now she walked through a wall like I did. Hey did you know we had a sister?", Aria asked. 

"No its only been you and I. I think that's something Grandmother would have told us or you would have seen. How long has your powers not been working?" She asked. 

"About the year after the twins were born.

 Why?" 

"OMG Aria its-" she lost her. "Paige! Paige! No no no come on. Paige!"

Darren had been watching her the entire time. He didn't know what to do so he just watched her. She was beautiful & powerful. He never wanted powers especially after seeing what was done to those who had them. Aria was so powerful she didn't even know it. He read about her as a student at the academy how she wanted peace and equality. He read that she was tricked into a special assignment where she could use her power by helping others and as soon as she did they turned on her. Said she was like the reckless and needed to be taken in. Said she tried to kill her own colleagues to protect the mutants, her people. It was all a lie.

Once Aria came back he cleared his throat, didn't need her to see him staring at her and figure out he was in love with her since the moment his eyes landed on hers in the academy. He bumped into her by accident, grab her from falling && smiled. Why didn't she remember him? 

"Do you know where Paige is?" He asked.

"No but I got a clue. We need to pack everything so we can go, night is already here and we're behind schedule." She started grabbing all the maps leaving one opened on Mediterranean area.

 "She isn't in Ibiza we tried looking there." Darren said. 

" You clearly missed something so hush. Bring me that magnifying glass". 

Aria point across the room to direct where it was. She had heard water, lots of water. Maybe a bird too.

"Can't you just move it with your mind?" Darren asked with a slight chuckle while walking to get it. Aria just stared at him like she was going to set him on fire. If only I had that power, she thought.

"How long have you known my sister?" Aria asked. 

"We've been partners for years. Ended on the same case about 10 years ago, coming in through different sides but needed each other to survive. After that case was over we grabbed a drink and ended on the same upcoming case the following week; same side this time. They saw how well we worked together on our own, so they made an alliance. Military & the Academy." He shrugged.

"Academy?" Aria asked. 

"Yea The Strong & Willing, ever heard of it?. He asked seeing if she remembered something about him. She just shrugged still looking at the map. 

" I think I found something. What kind of symbol is that." She stated more than asked.

 Darren grabbed the other magnifying glass taking a look at what she pointed to and recognized the symbol of the society.

 "It's the society symbol. They said it's made out of ice under water but no one has ever found it. Or if they had didn't make it back to tell the story."

 "Alright pack all the herbs and vials in the same bag. I'll pack the books, maps and anything else." 

They went on to pack almost the entire house just leaving the furniture. They had a long journey ahead of them and needed to rest before morning. Aria took this short moment to call her husband. She missed her family so much and would rather be home. When her husband picked up she knew something was off just wasn't sure what.

 "Hey baby where are you?" He said.

 "It's good to hear your voice." She paused then continued " I have something I need to do it's about Paige but I'll tell you everything soon I promise." 

"Aria you need to come home. How could you just leave us in the middle of the night like that?" 

" You're all fine Jacob. I have something important I need to do." She said. Why was he sounding so needy, he's never been this way before. 

"Where are you I'll come get you." 

Just then the wind blew and gave her a chill.

 "I have to go Jacob, kiss my babies for me. I'll be home soon." 

"Aria plea-" she hung up.

As she went back inside Darren was laid out on the couch and had the fireplace going. 

" I thought it would be best to sleep here then to sleep in rooms that belonged to your family." He said.

 Considerate she thought, but there was no way she was sleeping on the couch.

 " Uhhh I'll be in my room if you need me. You're welcome to sleep where you like." She turned and went towards her room, only walking pass it and into her grandmother's. She missed her so much. Laying on her bed, hugging her pillow she cried herself to sleep.

*Paige*

"Get off me you slimy cocksucker." Paige yelled at one of the guards who was trying to force her back into her cell. 

They didn't sedated her this time, thinking she had enough electrical activity done to her. It seemed to have burned her out, at least that's what they thought. Stupid cunts, she thought. The guard had her by her right arm and right leg trying to throw her into the cell. Because she was holding on to the bar it was difficult for him. Using her left hand to gain control and kicked him in the face. He stumbled back, never letting her go. He recovered quicker than she expected and he used that recognition to bang her body into the cell bars a couple times. When he saw she was not fighting anymore he threw her and locked the cell door.

"I thought you had him that time for sure beautiful. Better luck next time", said the guy in the cell next to her. 

Paige glared at him saying "I don't see anyone else doing anything." 

"Do something closer to me and I'll help you out beautiful. Even though they want you more than they want me. Said you were one of the special three." He looked at her with curiosity.

"We've been over this Kevin. I'm nothing special just more powerful than you. Besides they just want to break me not test on me. I'll leave the test for you." Paige said rolling her eyes.

She was laying on the cell floor, turning away from Kevin when a blast of energy ran through her body. She groaned, balling up in the fetal position to take the pain. Her body was glowing a light blue current.

"Hey beautiful, you alright over there?" Kevin asked. 

More groaning. Her mind was being connected to someone else. She tried to fight it off. The power was too strong for her to shake and soon was taking over her entire body. Her body was levitating in the air. It was like she was tied to a chair.

Unknown: "Stay still. It'll be over soon." Came a voice. The person who was fighting, spat in the Doctor's face. It was as if Paige was the person who spat. 

"Now that wasn't nice, was it?" asked the doctor, wiping off his face. 

"Go to hell", the voice called. 

The doctor picked up the liquor filled syringe saying "night night sweetheart " as he inserted the needle in the vein. 

"Noooooooo" the person said, trying to get out of the restraints. 

A few seconds later the person was once who the doctor had created long ago. Erasing the defiance and memories of who the person actually was. Now sat a soldier and killing machine.

"Now it's time to find Aria my precious child. Bring her to me", he said. 

"Yes father", the person and Paige said in union.

 At the same time Paige was dropped to the floor screaming no. The episode was over. She jumped into a sitting position. 

"Aria" was all she said before falling into an unconsciousness.
