“I can’t believe you left. man! This isn’t our pack, Conan!” Phoenix scolded me.
“You should have known I was with Josie.”
“That dad of hers isn’t messing around. He wants us gone.”
“I wouldn’t want to break my father-in-law’s jaw, but I could.”
I felt her panic, fear, and anxiety. It was worse after our phone call. I couldn’t stay away. She was my mate. I could track her down even if I lost my nose. She was my woman after all.
