Chapter 4

        Jodie was laughing hard when Eddie and I exchanged contact details so I can talk with him when he’s out of the country in Asia. We both smiled with Jodie’s happiness, while Vern is looking at me, thinking what he said that made Jodie laugh that hard. I think he wasn’t telling a funny story at all.

Eddie and I bid our goodbyes, since his ship will leave for Japan very early tomorrow, he needed to rest early. Okay, see you again, Eddie, I said kissing him on both cheeks, in front of the resort’s entrance. Eddie stepped inside his Lexus, rolled down his car window and waived at me for the last time and waived back. I walked back to my room, feeling tired and sleepy. Shocked with the hand that halted me, holding my shoulder. Jodie, what the f….!, I thought I’m going to have a heart attack. What is it?, I added whispering at her. Who’s Eddie? Jodie asked seriously. Him?, a very good friend of mine from college, I said still whispering. Jodie still staring at me as if needing more explanation about the guy I was with. Okay! He became a very close friend when you were gone on tour as a famous singer and I needed support from family matters. He was very nice and remained loyal until now, alright Jay!, I’m very tired, I’ll go to my room and sleep. See you tomorrow!, I said walking to my suite still venturing the long hallway which is extravagantly carpeted. No! Talk to me!, Jodie stopping me. Why and about what?, I asked strangely while trying to determine whether Jodie’s drunk or not. About him, Eddie? She added scaring me now since I realized she’s a bit drunk. Jay!, you’re drunk, come now and I’ll bring you to your room, I said holding her hand and supporting her shoulders. No, I’m fine, talk to me….Jodie added still persistent. Okay!, sleep in my room then and I’ll tell you about him tomorrow morning when you’re sober, I added seriously. Jodie followed me to my room. And as I’m about to get in bed, she’s already fallen asleep ahead of me. Haay! Jay!, crazy..I said while pulling my sheet up to cover Jodie. I just cleaned a little bit and changed my dress to my baby pink silk night gown. Looking at Jodie’s pity, I decided to carefully change Jodie’s sweat soaked dress with my extra bath robe. It’s not hard to slip her out of the dress since the zipper is up front. Sassy!, I whispered. I don’t exactly remember what happened after the wardrobe change, and dozed off beside Jodie, soundly.

Alexa is sleeping like a baby when Jodie woke up and touched my face. Uh! Jodie..eee! What? Are you o…? Before I could speak, she’s already on top of me, kissing my lips. I can no longer stop her, she’s all over me. Jodie’s so soft to touch. Her hand is carefully exploring my body. Her fingers are touching me now, my neck and kissing my cleavages down to my stomach, my back. Then she went back to kissing my lips, and I kissed her back. Jodie doing this made my spine tingle and awakened my longing for her like a raging fire of desire, unstoppable, unquenchable. His eyes and mouth widened, thus in embarrassment like prying over his best friends privacy, immediately shut the bedroom door behind him and ran away from the unit. s**t!, Sanjay said again and again so overwhelmed with what he saw. Basil! Man, B!, you won’t believe what I saw…, Sanjay added while hurrying up to get close to Basil. Finally when he was in front of Basil waving his hands like a crazed man. It’s Jodie and Alex! They! Ah!, his eyes were pointing Basil on his finger, making a F…. Y… sign, Basil was trying to understand what Sanjay was saying, until his eyes got bigger and his jaw dropped in disbelief then whispered. Oh, my God!, they did?!. What now? Oh no! Well, let’s see! Let’s keep this our secret until they tell us what’s really going on between them…Basil explained while Sanjay nodded and made a polite promise with a sign, zipping his mouth. Probably it’s best not to mention this to Jodie or Alex, Sanjay added. Basil said confused, to both…! Both of Alex’s buddies agreed when Alex came in, and both guys were surprised. Hi, ah! Guys!, Alexa greeting Basil and Sanjay, then when they were so quiet, strange quiet…she added, Hey!, Basil and Sanjay’s silence was broken. Oh! Yes, Alex, yes! We are good, are you? Ah good!, I bet!, Basil added teasingly, then quickly changed to a serious face. Ah, yes! I’m good, Alex said strangely then back smiling at Basil. So, Jodie! Is she ready?  Pumped and ready to go? A for the shoot, he! He!, Sanjay asked also teasing  Alex. Yes, she is!!! Definitely!, Alexa added confidently, happily. Both guys were still creeping up on Alex to check on her with a worried, questioning look. But Alex kept on smiling at them, now with brows together, she felt weird with Sanjay and Basil like twins moving at the same time, looking at each other then her at the same time. What’s wrong?!, guys!? Did something happen while I’m gone? Alexa, in her innocent tone. Nope! Not really!, you, did something happen….ah….last night? Anything, we don’t know, that is wonderful..eh!! Basil asked, yet being careful of what he might blurt out about last night. Ah, Jodie slept over last night and it was cool!, Alex said smiling mysteriously.  See you later at the shoot okay, mwah! Please, ask room service to bring us coffee, bread and cheese ticks!, Thanks, love you B, Alexa blowing Basil a silent kiss. Wow! I love her  when she’s in a great mood, Basil added breathing lightly. Yes!, amen to that, Sanjay second-emotioned. Basil was calling room serviceeception area now  for the orders when Alex reached her suite to greet Jodie. Hi! Good morning!, Alexa said while Jodie was about to wake up. Alexa tried to kiss her lips, but Jodie seemed distant, different. Yet smile back when Alexa said it. Hello!, a beautiful morning indeed!. Jodie added gladly. I asked Basil to send room service, do you like coffee, bread and….Alexa wasn’t finished talking when Jodie blasted out of the room. That’s okay A!, I’m good. I’ll go back to my suite to get ready, just tell them to bring the food to my room. Jodie added avoiding Alexa’s gaze still smiling. O…kay! Alexa said with her brows twitching, confused why Jodie is suddenly acting strange in front of her.  She stood still and thinking this will be an awkward holiday. Jodie is getting all weird, things will definitely change between us from now on. This is what Alexa doesn’t want to happen between the two of them. She was in a deep thought while fixing her bed. Then the phone rang.

At the photo shoot. Pool side. Alright guys! I’ll be the one taking the shots today, Alex is out to pick up someone at the airport, Sanjay said authoritatively. Jodie sadly nodded so as the staff. Jodie’s done with her make up. Jess was preparing her dress and is trying to fix her up with that sequenced light green satin finish, so fit her bossoms portruted. Jodie was used to not wearing bras, and loves to let her cleavage show. She was now wearing a five inches cloggs made of glass and Swarovski material. Verne came into the scene, Hey, babe! How’s my cutie pie?, he added carrying a bunch of flowers on his hand while kissing Jodie loudly on the mouth. Jodie as if trying to avoid the kiss, still gave in, since Vern’s very insistent and wouldn’t receive a ‘no’ kiss for an answer. Basil and Sanjay just looked at each other in a teasing manner. Okay, let’s do it, positions please!, Sanjay clapping his hands for the team to hurry up.

At the airport (NAIA). Mom! Hi!, Alex said. Nice to see you honey!, Mama Roberta said happily. It’s good you picked me up, I don’t want your dad to worry about me. The not so old beautiful lady added putting her hands on Alex’s face. So how’s dad in Dubai?, Alex added while assisting Roberta to the car. He’s good! He will be flying back home tomorrow with your sister Shane. She really loved the adventure there. Roberta smiling. Oh! Ha! Ha!, Mom! I’ll just drive you home, Anita is there to attend to your needs. I need to get back to Boracay for the last two days of the shoot. Do you remember Jodie, Jodie Moon?, Alexa said happily. Yes!, the singer, oh! your childhood friend? Oh, how is she? Roberta asked surprisingly. She’s good, still beautiful and the same old Jodie (though, we made out last night and now things got difficult), Alexa, sighed a bit and in disbelief. No problem dear! I need to catch up with my cats and telenovelas anyway! I know to how to get busy and spend my time well, wisely! Send my kisses to Jay! Okay, Roberta pinching Alexa’s cheek saying her goodbyes. Yes mom, I will! Okay, Kuya Ronnie! Drive safe. Take care of my mom for me!, Alexa added tapping Ronnie’s shoulder twice. Opo!, Ronnie sais smiling back at Alexa.

At NAIA, Alex already booked her flight back to Boracay early that morning and an hour fight is not that stressful. Lion Air is certainly the best on flights like this. I hope everything went well at the pictorial, Alexa thought.

I slept all throughout the flight though just a quick one. I must have been so tired, not because of the shoot but maybe because of the awkwardness happening between Jay and I. Hmm, I thought wondering. At the Hernann Resorts car for the pick-up, it was comfortable and the trip back to the resort was fast enough. Everybody’s eating lunch when I arrived at the set.

Hi guys!, what happened? Are we done? Did I miss anything special?, Alexa added excited, whike grabbing a plate for the buffet lunch for the day. No! Just Verne!!!, He! He!, Basil said laughing a bit. So how about your mom, Aunt Roberta? How’s the flight?, Sanjay asked. Oh! Alexa said not so surprised, she was okay!. Dad’s flying back tomorrow with Shane.  She’ll be fine, with her kitties and shows, I know she’ll survive magnificently for a day. So! Vern, huh! Okay! I’ll eat and rest for a little while. I’m sort of tired from the jet lag!, Alexa said trying not to look at Jodie and Verne joking around getting all sweet, exchanging glances at each other.

Alexa now lying on bed, quietly thinking about what had happened between her and Jodie. She still felt Jodie’s touch and kisses. But what happened to Jodie, she thought very confused. She acted strange after we made love. I hope it isn’t that serious, I thought to myself, worried about Jodie and I’s friendship.

At the set. Photo shoot’s going great!, Sanjay said. It’s a wrap guys!. Tomorrow’s a new day and it’s our last to make impossible things happen. Thank you! See you all tomorrow!, clapping is hands over and over again. Sanjay facing Basil now, I think Alex was very tired, I told her to get some rest and do the last set tomorrow at the beach.  I think Victory Magazine wanted to get a summer  picture and theme cover which Jodie will be featured as the center fold star for the month, Sanjay added so happy. So, let’s congratulate Jodie for this achievement, Sanjay now running to kiss Jodie who is flushed smiling, while Basil said, Wow! Everybody now hugging Jodie. Then the staff one by one disappeared with Sanjay and Basil left discussing about Jodie’s photo shoot tomorrow. Okay! Cool! We are definitely ready. I’ll just check on the vids and negatives of the photos, so we can choose from it and from our previous shots for the presentation. Alexa will check on the shots that needed to be blown-up for Jodie’s perfume commercial, health magazine and for Victory Magazine’s cover tomorrow. I’ll go ahead B! See yah at the beach…, Sanjay added joyfully. Wait up bud! I’ll just place these cameras at ALexa’s couch and let’s go to the bar after, then the beach, Basil added smiling and went hurriedly up to Alexa’s suite. He placed the cameras on Alexa’s couch and locked the door behind him.
