So, come on! Let’s swim! Jodie pulling my hands together. I had no choice, so, I stood up and took off my dress left with my bra and panty. The dress was uncomfortable anyway. The water is cold but it’s good since the weather is humid. It’s also wonderful to the feel letting the fire between us die down a bit. The heat Jodie started is firing me up inside even before she asked me to wear that sexy dress she gave me. Especially seeing her like this, all so sexy, alive and missed. Jodie splashed water on my face, I did the same thing to her, and laughed crazily together. When a wave suddenly came in and catched us both. I almost drowned. I know how to swim but when it’s really deep I get scared to swim or dive into it. Jodie quickly swam towards me and secured her grip of my hand, then my neck and slowly led me towards the shore. Hey! Are you okay? Jodie asked me worriedly. Yes…ah..uh! I said catching my breath in the process. I’m fine, now! I added coughing profusely, though I know I drank a quarter of beach water and almost left me choking to death. Let’s rest there, Jodie pointing on some bystanders not far from where they are. Look, there are people out there with a bonfire lit! On our favorite spot, under a coconut tree. Guests are heating mallows, drinking wine, Emperador, Gin Light Blue! Jodie and Alex eyes are sparkling with this happy sight and the 5 guests are very friendly and accommodating. Filipinos are always friendly to foreigners ‘always’. Though we just look like foreigners, Jodie and I are full blooded ‘Pinays’ in the heart.
Wait! Jodie said. Alex I wanted to tell you something! What’s that? Alex said curiously. Have you forgotten me when I wasn’t able to call or message you? Jodie asked emotionally. No, never! I always thought of a good enough reason why you’re not able to call or visit me. I missed you so much Jay! I was very sad and felt alone when you stopped communicating with me. Because I missed and as if lost my very best friend in the whole wide world, you! I was jealous of Ian and then Vern, since I wasn’t able to be with you then. Yet I never stopped thinking about you and was very proud when you won awards specially, the Grammies. I was always there when you got sick or even when you had the ear infections. Until now I support you and love what you do, all the way. Because you will always and forever be my best friend, buddie, gal, soulmate and pal! Alex said bursting into tears for she always wanted to say this for many years, and now ahe was able to do so and let Jodie know how she really feels when they separated ways after college. Oh Alex! Jodie said unable to think. How sweet of you, really! You know that even if there are many Ian or Vern to come into our lives. They will never come between our friendship and they can never replace my one true friend, love and soulmate. And that’s you Alexa, my A! I’m sorry I was so busy I didn’t realize you were missing me and was hurting so badly because of me, Jodie said putting her hand on top of Alex’s shoulder. It’s okay now! Past is past and we can make new memories now that we’re together, again? Right! Alex said running away from Jodie…You’re it! Ha! Ha! Ha!, Alex added laughing so hard like a kid. Oh no you don’t! Here I come! Jodie said. Do you still remember what we used to play when we were little. Yes, of course, I added. We just ran and cuddled each other all night long since we’re very tired from the running. He! He!. Jodie requested me to sleep over for the night. Even though my suite is just next to hers. I slipped out of her bed after fell asleep. Poor baby! While looking at the sleepy, tired, lovely but smiling Jodie. I know and understand even if you don’t say it, fame made you unhappy and the limelight made you broken inside. You are so strong not to tell me. But I can see the sadness in your eyes. Your eyes never lie, it says how you miss me and how you long for me, your friend who understands you. I longed for you too, because you are the only person in the world who understands me too.
