I got frozen; unable to move from the posture and stood motionless. The phone was still stuck in my ear. My breathing got ceased as my eyes fell on the familiar face of Treycen coming out of the opened door. “Where have you been? And who are you talking to?” Treycen snapped as his eyes fell on me. His tone of voice had a hint of madness while his eyes were widely opened. Pupils dilated, jaw clenching. I gulped, lowered my gaze, and started to stare at the floor. “Emmalyn? Who is it?” He asked suspiciously making me suddenly pull the phone from my ear, “yes? No one!” I hurriedly answered without giving a chance to think about what I expelled from my mouth. “Then why are you holding your phone to your ear?” He again inquired. I saw his brows joined to one another out of uncertainty.
