“Emmalyn’s POV”
Without wasting any time, I ran towards the place. It was sealed with police tape while the crowd gathered there was blocking the view.
Pushing the people to make the way for us both, I got inside the tape. The next moment I got slumped to the ground as my eyes fell on the dead body laying to the fore of me.
The girl’s body was burned so badly which made tears roll down my cheeks. How brutal were the people behind all this? Didn’t they have the organ named as heart?
Looking at the fully burnt skin, it wasn’t clear the girl was Averyn or not. I couldn’t figure out why the police contacted Alex and told him it was Averyn.
Wiping the tears with a little ray of hope, I marched closer to a police officer. It’s when both the parents and Alex came there.
