Hell In Heaven

Chapter four

“When you can tell your story and it doesn’t make you cry, that’s when you know you’ve healed” 

Genevieve PoV:

As I jump and turn around, I see Hayes standing there with his arms crossed. 

“Oh hey” I say shocked to see him here again 

“So why are you standing in the middle of the street screaming like that?” He raises an eyebrow, expecting an answer. 

“I...um-um” I stutter not answering him because I was too shocked that he was back. I thought he was mad at me or something. 

“You’re back” I say surprise showing through my tone. I didn’t think he’d talk to me again, I though I had annoyed him somehow or he just didn’t like me. Why is he back now? And he’s talking to me like nothing happened, like he didn’t just suddenly turn cold towards me and leave all of a sudden. 

“ answer me” he demands seemingly frustrated. Why is he so frustrated? Is he frustrated at me? 

“ I don’t know where to go, I got lost and don’t know the way back” I tell him truthfully secretly hoping he would help me. 

“How did you even manage to get lost? How stupid” he says harshly. Why is he being so mean all of a sudden? Did I do something wrong? Maybe I did but I don’t know what I did. 

“ I’m sorry I didn’t mean to, I’ve never been here before and don’t understand this busy crowded place” I apologies feeling stupid for getting lost so easily and not paying attention to my surroundings. 

He shakes his head, turns around and starts to walk away from me. Oh he’s leaving again, did I say something wrong? He probably doesn’t want anything to do with someone stupid like me. He suddenly stops and turns to look behind him. 

“Are you not coming? Move, let’s get you to your humans house” he says looking confused and a bit annoyed. Then continues walking expecting me to follow him. So he’s not leaving, he’s being nice again. I really don’t understand him, one minute he’s nice and the one minute he’s mean. Is it me who’s making him be like that?

“So where’d go earlier ?” I ask him wanting to know why he left so suddenly. He stops all of a sudden making me bump into as I was trying to catch up with his big and fast steps. I apologies taking a step back 

“That’s none of your business, I get to go where I want and do whatever I want to do. Don’t you dare question me” he warns me with out even turning around to look at me, yet I still got scared from how dangerous his tone became. 

“Sorry I didn’t mean to pry, I was just wondering. I won’t ask again” My voice trembles As he hears my voice he tenses for second and then goes back to normal. 

I really don’t understand him, why is he acting weird all of a sudden?

“We’re here” His voice snaps me out of my thoughts. I look up to see Aliya’s familiar house, I really need to get used my surroundings so I don’t get lost again. But this place is huge and full of different places, no signs to lead the way for you. It’s just really different from heaven, there you have a lot of help, people always telling you what to do, where to go and how to do things. That’s the way I’ve been raised and having to do everything on my own now is really hard and complicated. Thank god I met Hayes to help me through this, I would have probably still been lost if he didn’t come to help me. 

“Genevieve” he says snapping his fingers in-front of me trying to get my attention. 

“Hmm” I reply kind of still in my thoughts

“Did you hear what I just said?” He asks looking impatient 

“Huh?, yeah” I snap out of my thoughts, finally paying attention to him.

“Oh really, then go ahead tell what is it that I said” he says almost sounding like he was mocking me. 

“You-uh... said that. I don’t know” I say defeated. 

“I don’t know” he says making me in squeaky, high pitched voice.

“Hey, don’t mock me like that. I’m sorry, I didn’t hear what you were saying my mind was elsewhere” I act like I’m annoyed that he’s mucking me but I’m fact I’m glad that he’s out of his mood and is joking around now. I like him better in this mood, when he doesn’t take everything around him seriously. 

“ don’t mock me like that” he mocks me again in an even higher pitched voice 

“Stopppp, you’re being mean” I say my voice actually going high pitched. I cross my arms and pout, getting mad at him for mocking me. 

And he continues, he crosses his arms and pouts like me. 

I look at him, turn around and walk away. I hear his footsteps behind catching up with me before he grabs me from my forearms gently and turns me around to face him. 

“ don’t be mad at me. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you. I was just playing with you.” He says still holding me from my forearm almost like he’s scared that I will walk away from him. 

“Okay, you’re forgiven. For now. Don’t make fun of me again though I don’t like it” I say pouting 

“Okay, I promise. I won’t.” He says seriously.

“ now you go in and watch over your human , if you need anything at all, call me over and I’ll be here to help you. I know we haven’t known each other for long but I’d love to be able to help you.” He says and then flys away. 

I wanted to him to stay longer, I don’t want him to go. His company is great in here, I can’t talk to anyone but him and his company here makes it better, more helpful.
