8 months later
I finished washing the dishes and fixed tea. Waddling outside, I sat down at the porch and looked around while rubbing my bulging stomach. I bought a house surrounded by a forest. Lyra suggested it for the babies, hoping they grow up surrounded by the forest. Yep,babies with an ies,I'm having twins, one boy and one girl. I decided to keep them 8 months ago and I never went back to the pack.I was scared that they will reject my children. I still hope they forgive me though for not telling them, especially Alex,he is after all the father.
"He will,trust me."Lyra said.
I got up and decided to take a walk. While I was walking, I noticed a gate,I didn't know I have a neighbor. I shrugged and continued. I barely went out except for groceries so it's not a mystery how I didn't notice that I have a neighbor.
After a while I decided to go back since it's getting cold. But suddenly, I felt a pain in my stomach, it somehow happens a lot so I did my best to ignore it but after a while, it came back with much more impact than the last one. I groaned and leaned against a tree hoping it will help ease the pain but something else happened, I felt something flow down my thighs and then to my feet.
"Tamara!the pups!they're coming!"Lyra panicked. Voicing out the panic that was stuck in my throat.
What am I going to do?!I didn't know they would be coming today. I prepared everything but I did not prepare for breaking my water in the middle of the forest.
Suddenly I remembered the gate. I slowly half-ran to the gate and upon arriving I shouted for help. The gate opened and revealed a beautiful woman with curly black hair and black eyes, almost everything about her is black except of course her fair skin. We stared at each other for almost a while, forgetting for a moment about my business. She's a witch. The realization brought a mixture of awe and different kinds of emotion to me. I heard rumors about witches but I never saw one in person. Lyra finally snapped me back to reality.
"Please miss witch,my water just broke,I need help."I pleaded. Miss witch?!
Her dark gaze turned to my stomach before her face softened.
"Of course, quickly then my dear."She calmly said and ushered me inside.
8 hours later
"One more push my dear, come on you can do it."The witch encouraged me. I pushed at the same time that I fainted. The cries of a baby, sounding like a distant sound.
I woke up and felt my stomach, thinking it was all a dream because I felt... normal. Flat, my stomach is flat, my babies?! I panicked and looked around.
"You're babies are sleeping in the other room."The witch assured me and I instantly calmed down.
"Thank you very much,I'm Tamara by the way."I said.
"I'm Safira and I think its time you meet your babies. We'll talk later."She flicked her fingers and two cradles appeared from nowhere. Did she make the cradles?
She stood up and picked the two babies and laid them down next to me. I hugged and kissed them both. My baby boy has the color of my hair, blonde but his eyes is the color of Alex's,sky blue while my baby girl has my violet eyes but her father's fiery red hair, talking about gene mysteries.
"What are you gonna name them?"Safira asked, once again sitting down at her original spot.
"Zane Jonathan and Zoya Alexandra."I said smiling down at my beautiful, sleeping babies. How they're not hungry is the least of my concern at the beautiful moment.
Suddenly, we heard someone and then the door opened and there stood a white haired woman with white eyes whom I instantly recognized as the moon goddess. She is beautiful in a non-ghostly way. She was also there when we buried my parents.
"Safir-"she stopped when her eyes landed on me and her eyes contained curiosity almost instantly. "Well, well, who do we have here?"She said, her voice full of amusement as she shifted her gaze for a while at Safira's direction.
"Hello Moona."Safira greeted without looking up.
I just stared at them, shocked at how this day turned out to be.
