I didn't respond the next day, nor did I go to visit him. I couldn't. I kept up that behavior all week, and my obvious absence caused Arthur to search for me high and low. At first, there were messages in which he wanted to know why I was avoiding him. I clearly ignored them and pretended I could go on with my life without anything or anyone affecting me. That week, I wanted to focus on my work and not think about anything else.
