On the days when Arthur was in good spirits, we would plan what we needed for our wedding. The invitations, the catering, the decoration, the music—everything we could think of, even though the situation really made me uncomfortable. He wanted to make me laugh, telling jokes and doing silly things to make me smile, but how could I, given how he looked? We had just had two therapy sessions, and he no longer looked like he used to. He had lost a bit of weight, his face was always pale, with dark circles under his eyes from sleepless nights, and although he didn't tell me, I had noticed he had started losing his hair.
