Alina’s POV It had been four hours. Four agonising hours since I had to watch Logan drive away with Madeline. I scolded myself as I started biting my nails from the unease I felt. I walked over to the bedroom window for the millionth time and stared out into the dead of night. The moon, a glowing yellow-white, hung low tonight and although it wasn’t full, its fluorescent light still irradiated the scene below. Something within me stirred as I became bewitched by its brilliance. It was a need. A need to be released yet consumed all at the same time.
