Madeline’s POV The early morning breeze caressed my fur and soothed my soul. Running through the forest next to our flat before the crack of dawn was my therapy. There was no feeling quite like it as I darted skilfully between soaring trees. I stopped at a clearing in the middle of the woodland that opened out into a field of long grass and wildflowers. Being a wolf in a city was hard. We were energetic animals and needed to feel close to nature. I did especially. I am missing home more than ever right now.
