Alina’s POV
An agonising pain sliced through my head as I hit something hard and rolled onto my side. I blinked frantically but darkness was all I could see. My short, quick breaths felt hot and restricted and I realised I had a black hood covering my head. My whole body ached, and I attempted to move, but my wrists and ankles were bound together, causing a burning sensation with every movement. I could tell by the vibrations and rumble of an engine that I was in the back of a van or truck. I couldn’t breathe. Where were they taking me?
The shudders from the vehicle came to a halt and I heard doors opening and shutting.
