Chapter five: a sight to behold

1365 Words
Rey’s Bestie, Lith had decided not to get into college too. She was willing to wait for Rey since they had promised never to leave each others side, so they both took this chance and were able to make it into the same university. Their first day was weird, being in a new environment was quite exhausting because they had to ask about pretty much everything to navigate their way but they had each other and that was all that mattered. As they walked around campus, Rey said, "Wow, this place is huge! I can't believe we're actually in college." Lith replied, "I know, right? It's a little overwhelming, but we've got each other. We'll figure it out together." As they walked into their first class, Rey said, "I'm so nervous. What if we get lost or can't find our way back to our dorms?" Lith reassured her, "We won't get lost. We have a map and a compass, and we'll make sure to always stick together. Plus, the upperclassmen are really helpful. Just ask if you need anything." As the class started, the professor said, "Welcome to Introduction to Psychology. My name is Professor Smith. I'm excited to have you all here and I look forward to a great semester." Rey and Lith exchanged a glance and smiled at each other, feeling a little more at ease. After class, they met up with some of their new classmates. Rey said, "Hey, I'm Rey and this is Lith. We're roommates." One of the students, a guy named Reyo said, "Nice to meet you, Rey and Lith. I'm Reyo. Are you both Freshmen?" Lith replied, "Yeah, we are. How about you?" Reyo said, "Same here. I'm excited to start this journey with all of you." Rey and Lith smiled at each other again, feeling grateful to have made a new friend. As the day went on, they found themselves feeling more and more comfortable in their new surroundings. They had each other and they were making new friends. As they walked back to their dorms, Lith said, "I can't believe it's our first day of college. It's been a little crazy, but I'm so glad we're here together." Rey replied, "Me too. I couldn't have done it without you. I'm excited to see what the next four years have in store for us." They hugged each other and went to their dorms, feeling excited for the journey ahead. As the weeks went by, Rey and Lith settled into college life. They were getting used to the schedule and the workload, and they were making more friends. They were also getting involved in different clubs and activities that interested them. Rey joined the debate team and Lith joined the photography club. One day, Rey said, "Lith, I have a debate tournament coming up next weekend and I need a photographer to take pictures of the event. Do you think you would be interested?" Lith replied, "Of course, I'd love to! I've been looking for an opportunity to practice my photography skills." Rey said, "Great, I'll sign you up. Thanks, Lith." The tournament was a success and Rey's team even won first place. Lith's pictures turned out amazing, and Rey was grateful to have her bestie by her side. As the semester went on, Rey and Lith continued to support each other in all of their endeavors. They were each other's rock, and they always had each other's back. One day, Lith said, "Rey, I've been thinking about studying abroad next semester. I'm really interested in studying photography in Europe." Rey replied, "That's amazing, Lith! I'll miss you, but I know you'll have an incredible experience. I'll be here cheering you on every step of the way." Lith said, "Thanks, Rey. I couldn't have done it without your support." And with that, Lith went off to study abroad, and Rey continued her studies at the university. But even though they were miles apart, they knew they would always be best friends and they would always have each other's back. Years passed by, Rey and Lith graduated and went on to pursue their own careers, but their friendship never wavered. They always made time for each other and their bond only grew stronger over the years. They knew that no matter what life threw at them, they would always have each other. As the weeks passed, Rey and Lith's friendship continued to grow stronger. They supported each other through all of their accomplishments and struggles, and they always made time for each other, no matter how busy they were. They graduated and went on to pursue their own careers, but their bond never wavered. They both had busy schedules, but they always made sure to keep in touch and catch up with each other as often as possible. They even traveled together on several occasions, exploring different parts of the world and making new memories. As their life’s took different directions in the choices they made, and knowledge they encountered they never forgot each other. In the end, Rey and Lith's friendship stood the test of time. They had been through everything together and were grateful for the journey they had shared. They knew that no matter what life threw at them, they would always have each other's back, and their friendship would endure forever. Rey had actually chosen to school far from home mainly because she did not want to be monitored by her family, at least for the first time in her life she had the luxury of being free. Her parents had tried to control every aspect of her life, so much that it was becoming a burden and almost suffocating. She wanted to live independently and make her own mistakes without having to worry about anyone else and the repercussions she could face. Lith felt the same way. Although she was close to her family, especially her mother, she also wanted to be independent and do things on her own. But most importantly, she wanted to pursue her dreams in fashion design. Both girls had similar backgrounds, except for the fact that they lived in completely different countries. Their families were very wealthy and well-known in their respective societies. They were born into wealth and privilege and therefore never had to worry about anything. The two girls attended an exclusive private school where they were surrounded by the elite. The school was located in a remote area far away from the city, which allowed students to focus more on their studies, rather than socializing with people who would only try to take advantage of them. Rey and Lith were among the top students in their class, and they were expected to perform well academically. They worked hard during the week to ensure that they stayed on track, but when they weren't studying, they enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities. Although Rey and Lith grew up with different circumstances, they both enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle, thanks to their parents' influence. They were given everything they needed, and if something was missing, they didn't have to look too far to find it. Their lives revolved around their parents and their expectations. They were raised in a privileged environment, and they were expected to excel at school and become successful adults. Both girls knew that this path was expected of them, but neither of them wanted to give in to pressure. When they were younger, their parents were able to exert some influence over their decisions, but as they got older, they became more autonomous. As they matured, they started thinking for themselves, which meant that their parents were no longer able to dictate their decisions. Their parents continued to support and guide them, but they had to learn how to stand on their own feet and make their own choices. This was difficult for them, especially since their parents were so controlling, but they did it anyway. Both girls were extremely intelligent and ambitious, so it wasn't a surprise that they met one another while in college. The campus was big enough to accommodate thousands of students, but they didn't cross paths until they attended the same lectures.
