To say I was in complete shock when Ellie blurted out that I was her boyfriend to her ex husband was an understatement. However, I couldn’t help but like the way it sounded. I can’t deny that there is possibly something there, because I feel a sorta spark whenever we touch.
As I ride in the back seat I can tell that she’s upset and I wish I could comfort her in someway without making her think I want something more. I couldn’t want something more, my whole reason of staying here is so I can get better and return to duty. An if I were to start something more, it would crush her when I left and she’s been hurt enough already from what I’ve seen.
