Early fall, N City, College Road.
October morning with some coolness, the ground fell a few pieces of yellow leaves, step on the click, the sound is crisp.
Suddenly a heartbreaking scream broke through the silent air, “Get out of the way! Get out of the way! The brakes are not working! Get out of the way!” A large truck sped from the distance.
At this moment, there was a young girl standing on the street, looking down at her watch, and when she heard this shout, she looked up in a panic, but she didn't realize that the truck was rushing straight towards her, and in the blink of an eye, it had already rushed in front of her.
Cynthia's pupils dilated, tilted her head back to look at the huge truck, through the large windshield, she could clearly see the driver's features twisted in fear, and a waving hand.
She tried to duck, only it seemed too late. Fifty meters, eighty-odd yards, and in just over two seconds, she would have been crushed to a cinder.
At the last moment, Cynthia subconsciously crouched down and curled up into a ball, her eyes closed tightly, shielding her face and head with her arms, ready to endure the intense pain that would follow.
In the darkness, she heard a loud thud, as if in her ears, followed by a toothsome scuffling sound.
What had she hit?
Cynthia was pretty sure it hadn't hit her, because she didn't feel any pain.
Eyes opened a slit and peeked through the gap between her arms.
When she saw the front end of the car that was almost on her face, she sucked in her breath in shock and took two steps backward, dropping to the ground.
Ten centimeters, the front of the car was only ten centimeters away from her.
In her panic, Cynthia seemed to see a white, oval object stuck under the wheel, but she didn't bother to examine it closely.
Looking at the near front of the car, Cynthia was afraid that it would lose control once again, and panicked as she braced herself on the ground with her hands, trying to get up and out of the way.
Suddenly there was a chill in the small of her back, as if something had gotten into her shirt.
Cynthia was so scared that she almost screamed out in shock, but froze thinking of being mobbed in a moment.
Reaching through her clothes, she touched her stomach, which was round and cool.
Not knowing what it was, Cynthia, in a hurry, directly lifted the corner of her shirt.
Lifting it just a little, she looked at something white.
Frightened, Cynthia hurriedly put her shirt back, clasped the double shoulders behind her back in front of her body, blocking her stomach, stood up and ran towards the school entrance in a panic.
People were gathering around in twos and threes because of the truck incident earlier, and Cynthia didn't want to be surrounded, not to mention the fact that she now had a contraption of some sort stuck to her stomach.
Dodging and dodging her way through the crowd, Cynthia bowed low and ran like a thief all the way to a large tree near the entrance of the school.
Looking around for a week to make sure that no one around, before trembling to reach out and lift the hem of the clothes, although the beginning of a glimpse, but really see the time, Cynthia still can not control the cold air.
I le a God! What the hell is this!
Reach out and hold the unknown object, slightly pulling out with force.
The unidentified object did not move.
Cynthia stared, took a deep breath and gritted her teeth with all her strength.
