Royce "Royce can I come in?" Melissa asked as she knocked on my door. "You're gonna come in anyway." I said. I was right, she did come in anyway. "Listen, I think you should leave Brady alone." She said and I turned to look at her. "Excuse me?" I questioned as I put my comb down. "Brady has never been in a relationship and he doesn't know how to act...I don't think you wanna be with him." She replied. "I don't care, I can show him how to act and besides, I like how he is." I said making her sigh. "Royce listen––" She tried to speak but I cut her off. "No Melissa you listen, I really like Brady I might even love him and we're not even dating...he means the world to me and I'd do anything to have him and I'm not stopping until I do." I told her seriously. "You're really crazy about him aren't you?" She asked. "Yea, I am." I confirmed. "Fine, but from now on you come to me for all the information on Brady and not that man-ho Jeremy." She said strictly as she gave me a death stare. "What's wrong with Jeremy?" I asked. "He hurt Brady." Was all she said before she left my room. I went after her immediately. "Mel what're you talking about?" I asked with concern. "Just stay away from Jeremy okay, if Brady knew you were talking to him you wouldn't have a chance so stop." She warned. "I'm not understanding, please explain." I said. She sighed. "Jeremy and Brady used to date before Brady moved here, Jeremy tried to have s*x with him and Brady refused so Jeremy humiliated him in front of the entire school. Soon enough Jeremy moved here but Brady didn't know so he moved here in hopes to get away from the rest of his old high school. He hates Jeremy for what he did and now he won't let himself associate himself with any of the cool kids or whatever, that's why he keeps shutting you down he doesn't trust you or your power over the school." She explained. Everything made so much sense now. "Kids it's time for school, get going!" Our mom shouted for us. "You might wanna put some pants on." Mel said before going off into her room. I looked down and blushed as I was in my briefs. I went back inside my room and put on some pants before going downstairs. I grabbed my lunch and school back before wishing my parents a good day and leaving. Mel and I got to school at the same time despite her leaving way after me. We both had our own modes of transportation. She had a car and she shared a bike with dad whilst I shared a car with mom. I walked into school and searched for Brady. Once I found him I approached him. "Hey Brady." I said with a smile. He sighed and looked at me with a bored look. "What do you want?" He asked. "I want you to go out on a date with me this Saturday." I said. "No." He said as he went back to his book. "Oh come on please, I'll be extra nice for you." I said with a smile. "f**k off." He said not even bothering to look at me. I sighed before grabbing him by the wrist and pulling him somewhere more private. The whole time he was protesting but I honestly didn't care. Once we got to the field I turned to look at him. His hazel eyes looked at me unimpressed. "Brady, I'm not Jeremy. I'm Royce." I said and his eyes widened. "How do you know about Jeremy?" He asked, his voice soft and quiet. "Melissa told me after failing to get me to stop trying with you." I answered. He looked away from me and I put my hand on his face gently. I pulled his face into line with my own making him look at me. "I'm crazy about you Brady and I know you can be crazy about me too, just try." I said gently. He kept quiet and broke eye contact with me. "Fine..." He finally said. "Really?" I asked in shock. "Yes really, don't make me change my mind." He replied and I smiled. "Oh my god! It's finally happening!" I shouted as I danced around him in a circle. "So when is this date?" He asked making me stop and move back in front of him. "Saturday night, at seven, casual wear, River Side Mall, I'll pick you up." I said everything. "Okay, I'll send you my address later." He said before opening his arms. "What's this? You wanna hug me." I pointed out. "Are you just gonna stand there?" He smiled making me smile. I wrapped my arms around his waist and lifted him off the ground slightly due to our height difference. "Don't disappoint me Royce."
