AFTER DINNER THAT evening, while Ted was busy with his homework, Chris gave Mickey a full account of his discussion with Lydia and the prosecutor.
“What do you think, Mick? Did I do the right thing?”
“It’s kind of late to be asking that question, but, for the record, I think you did.”
“Yeah, like Lydia said, for better or worse, the genie is out of the bottle.”
