Chapter 10 Jacksonville, FL Late February AS SOON AS TED left for his classes that morning, Chris headed downtown to Mitch Edwards’ office, where the closing on the sale of his grandparents’ house was to take place. It had taken a while, but Mickey had finally found two repos that met their requirements for rental properties, and which together were priced at an amount equal to the appraised value of his grandparents’ house. His cousin Arnold had already executed the necessary documents in Iowa, and all that remained was for Chris to sign his share of the paperwork. He parked Mabel in the underground parking garage of Mitch’s building and headed for the elevators.
