“Didn't you hear? None of the Alphas were allowed to go home. They've been locked up in their own rooms this entire time!" one of the servants claimed.
“How do you know that? I saw their carriages leaving myself!"
The first servant shook their head. “No, they were empty. The actual Alphas stayed here by order of the King."
“But why wouldn't he let them leave?"
“Something about a war. Apparently, he was afraid something would happen to them, so he wouldn't let them leave. But that's just one theory. I think he didn't want word to get out to the other packs."
“What! Why on earth would he do that?"
