Naomi's POV
"W–what do you mean?" I breathed, taking a step towards her. My hands were shaking. I didn’t know if it was fear or anger, or maybe both.
The woman just smiled, as if she had all the time in the world. She patted the bench beside her again. "Come. Sit. There’s much to tell."
I hesitated,my heart thundering wildly against my chest. My body trembled all over. I took a shaky breath. The place still felt off. It was too calm, too white. The grass had just appeared like magic wherever she stepped foot, and the air smelled like fresh rain and something sweet. I didn’t trust it. I didn’t trust her. Something in me just told me she wasn't it.
But something in me told me I needed to listen. I had to listen. After all, most of the things she had said were facts. She didn't lie.
